stef - am keeping everything crossed for you hun x Hope you get your scan asap x

Kindof - I have wellies, but still prefer my walking boots in snow as there warmer and have way better grip, tho I do have to wear gaters with them if the snow is really deep or my trousers get soaked. Am sleeping for long periods too, tho think its cos I have an inability to knap thru the day, back at work tomorrow hoping I cope ok or will be seeing about being signed off again I think.

Esio - My fave jeans are that type but mothercare, but have to admit they arent as comfy now as they were before 22 ish weeks, hence why I bought some over bump jeans, I love them comfort wise but they just wash up horrid and as there an 18 too big (thought it would give me room to grow into them!).

Well am fighting the boredom by flitting between doing soduku puzzles and reading 'things they dont tell you!' over on Fertility Friends. PLanning on a bath later woot!

Stef sounds like a very stressful time for you. How far along are you? I think you definitely need to try and get a scan done as soon as possible, for your own peace of mind if nothing else.

My advice (I had spotting at 8 weeks and the oncall midwife advised me to do this) would be to go to a & e first thing tomorrow and let them refer you to the EPU for a scan. I got one within a few hours. Really hope everything is ok for you.

MW said i were 5 weeks on tuesday gone so just coming up for 6 weeks.
My own gp is a bit of a big shot round here and i would only need to get a letter of him and be seen asap in the hospital he doesnt mess around, he did this a couple of years ago when i had dvt. He rang me up saying blood tests not right pick up letter and get to hospital, took half an hour from phone call to hospital giving me warfarin so think i will stick with going through him if no joy this afternoon.

I find that with the size too, I'm usually an 18, though NL jeans have a terrible tendency to stretch out so the sizing can be a bit funny. They're a bit loose on me but the 16 is way too tight though (think can't walk)!

    Campaign for size 17!

Sounds like a really good option for you then in that case. Just be aware that at 5/6 weeks it might be very difficult for them to see anything but it doesn't neccessarily mean that anything is wrong, just that baby might not be developed enough.

I had a week of spotting at 5 weeks too, then nothing until a bit more at 8 so it does seem to be quite a common time for it.

I know how stressful and worrying it is but try and relax as best you can and stay positive. We'll all be thinking about you and let us know how you get on x

Kindof I guess you'll prob have enough? esp as people will probably buy when baby arrives? & also, if you find you don't have enough 0-3 you can pop out & buy them when he's a few weeks old, as you'll have enough newborn to do him til then :D

Just been chatting to my mum regards baby care too, OH & I felt a bit bad that we'd be relying on her 5 days a week once I'm back in work, but she's assured me she can't wait and does not mind one bit :)

    LOL thats true :)

I still need to talk to my mam, she always said she wouldnt look after her grandchildren cos she did her time (not being horrible lol) but then when we found ou we were pg she said she would have babybean on her day off, but I havent talked to her about it since, so I need to check she still is willing

At the same time I need to broach the her getting to work by herself subject :eek:at the minute we give her a lift to work (she works at same place as me) but Oh has to travel way out of his way to take us, so he was looking forward to not going out of his way when I am on mat leave, I am scared, and I am stupid to be scared, she is a lovely woman, but I am not brave lol and I think I am going to have to have the convo over text with her, I cant do it face to face lol

Som - I am pleased its not just me sleeping long hours, I dont have any walking boots, well thats a lie, I do, but since we moved in here in april ive not seen thm lol

Must admit I don't envy you having to have that conv Kindof !

I've been sleeping ridiculous hours the last couple of nights, 10 til 10 easily, lazy or what! Think it's cos I'd slept so badly the first few days after breaking my elbow that now I can sleep again I'm catching up :)

Just switched the tv on to see Leeds beating Man U, should leave OH in a good mood :D
