    Morning ladies

I am also going to try and get out today and invoke some Christmas spirit and stop thinking about the baby! I am 39+1 so not overdue yet but so ready to meet little one! Someone tempted fate and bought me a newborn 'Babys First Christmas' babygro which will never get worn!

Have to stay in for a while though, have been waiting ages for a box from amazon which contains some Christmas pressies!!!

Hope everyone is well. PP hope your DD gets over the chest infection quickly and sorry about your dog.

LOL, this is exactly how I feel! I'm not even overdue (39+5) but just want this baby out soooooooo bad. But so much energy focussed on that isn't good, I feel, so hopefully Christmas will be a welcome distraction. Also why I refused to buy any Christmas outfits even though they're soooo adorable.

  • I'm feeling pretty organised today. I've picked up the turkey and packed for our trip to the rents for the next few days, animals are fed and watered and neighbour has been given a lesson in animal care 101 lol. I've even remembered to grab the wreath for the more solemn part of xmas tomo.
Roll on 3pm and xmas officially begins.

Oooh so quiet this morning! Everyone is off doing nice Christmassy stuff hopefully.

Well didnt sleep so well last night, well after 4am anyhoo just couldn't get comfy! Made a good start to the day, tackled Tesco and got everything I needed there without any stress. Went to Pets at home and got the furr ball 2 cute lil toys to open xmas day, then stopped off at Mothercare to wish my colleagues a happy xmas and picked up an I love daddy key ring for OH from bumpette. Keyring is now has a scan of papy girl in the photo slot and is all wrapped and in his stocking :D

Plan on making a quiche this afternoon, its to take to In laws on Boxing day as they do a family buffet type thing, might do some hob nobs too, tho lil ones so everyone gets a look in (mine are normally huge!) Currently watching Fred Claus :D

  • Hi all!

:snow_laug :xmassmile Happy Christmas Eve!!!! :xmassmile :snow_laug

No news here unfortunately. Bit crampy in the night & kept me awake. Even managed to convince myself the cramps were becoming regular earlier & got all excited. But then i went & had a shower & got ready & that put an end to it!!

    all done, scotsgirl!

Nothing new from me, ho hum. Sorry I WILL stop moaning at some point (poor DH is totally sick of me). Going to try and get out today which should help and just focus on Christmasy stuff to take mind off baby. I'm sure I'll be the only saddo logging on & posting tomorrow as DH & I are home alone (for the 1st yr ever) all day for obvious reasons.

Have also run out of RLT, even though I swear I bought enough to last me 'til I was overdue

It's me & OH's first Christmas alone too (again for obvious reasons!) so i may be joining you aless! We were hoping for an early arrival so could've been off visiting family tomorrow but nevermind - little miss obviously has other ideas & wanted to give us the day to ourselves! :D

And, strange coincidence, I ran out of RLT yesterday :( and can't get into town to get some more so I'll be going without over christmas. I think I've become addicted to it - was so upset when I realised I couldn't have my morning cuppa today!

    Hope you're all well.

Stay put vibes for baby PP.

    xx

Merry Christmas Eve to one and all!!!

Finally got my booking in appt with midwife, whose coming to my house, strangely, not until 18th January! I'll be 19 +5 by that stage LOL

Honestly the amount of c*ck ups we've endured with the nhs so fair in just 16 weeks are almost laughable..... my one saving grace is that Little L seems to be fine and quite enjoying being left alone.
Felt some more kicks this morning as well, and I got the first glimpse of DH starting to get a bit more excited. He asked if he would be able to feel them yet. I said I could feel some of them with my hand but theyre not constant, so he'd have to be patient, which he's not...... LOL

  • Right, being 40+6 weeks now, it's about 5 weeks since I packed my hospital bag, so thought I'd check it before I eventually have to use it. Am now panicking that I've forgotten something & just haven't thought of it because it wasn't on my original list. So, what do people think? How does this look?

    For me:
    2 t-shirts for labour
    2 front-opening nighties
    Breast pads
    3 packs Maternity pads/Always night
    5 pairs comfy big knickers
    2 pairs socks
    bed socks
    2 nursing bras
    1 change of clothes
    1 bath towel
    1 hand towel
    Slippers
    Dressing gown
    Hair stuff
Soap stuff - face wipes, bodywash, toothbrush/paste, deodorant
    Make-up
    Baby sponge, flannel
    Tissues
    Lypsyl
    TENS
    Paracetemol

    For baby:
    4 newborn vests
    4 newborn babygros
    Going home outfit
Hats, scratch mitts, bibs, socks, bootees
    Snowsuit
    Blanket
    10 Nappies
    Cotton wool
    Vaseline
    Towel

    Extras:
    Sweets/mints
    Cartons of juice
    Oatcakes
    Camera/Camcorder (charged!!)
    Car seat
    Spare change
    CDs

  • That list looks fine to me maz :) actually more to the point it sounds like mine so if you have missed anything then so have i :rotfl:

I will probably be joining you and aless tomorrow aswell not going to have much to do on my own once the kids go to bed :(

Congrats on team pink scotsgirl :j

So far this today have cooked all the meat ready for tomorrow, so only have to worry about the veg but im going to do that later on this evening and leave it in water so all i have to do tomorrow is turn the cooker on :) Have also made a trifle too however for some reason i didnt have enough of the topping to go on the top so it now has banana angel delight on top :o:rotfl::rotfl:
Have tidied and cleaned all upstairs just need to do downstairs now and wrap the last few xmas presents and then im all done!

DD2 still isnt good at all infact i think her breathing is getting worse have just given her her inhaler again, and she is on antibiotics and alternate calpol and ibruprofen every 2 hours and im really struggling to keep her temperature down so think we may well be taken another trip up to the hospital again this afternoon :( Its just really annoying that they cant come out and give her the nebuliser and it means dragging her out in this weather when she is poorly just so she can get it

Sickness is finally departing - 2 days without medication so far, wooooohooooo!!!

CafcGirl, I'm so glad it's not just me who's had ridiculous midwives, I'm 19 weeks and only just had my first appointment with them as well.

Had a feeling this littlie was pink - had already bought a purple pram although I convinced OH it was unisex!
