  • Havent posted here in ages, congratulations to all the new mums and all the new mums to be, easy labour vibes to everyone who needs them at the mo (including me) time has seemed to just fly in, how on earth did i get to 4th on the list lol, I'm getting quite scared now baby is ready to make an appearance and is fooling me around making me think for the last week "this is it" 4/5 engaged and i'm feeling it : ( , all set for my home birth and just hope that midwifes can actually get here on time with all this snow eeeeeek !! Three2b re appointments, im in scotland aswell but have had four weekly appointments up until 30 weeks and then fortnightly appointments until 36 weeks and weekly appointments from then, it does seem very strange they are willing to leave you as long inbetween visits so near the end and i wouldn't be happy about that :( , maybe you should contact the supervisor of midwives for your area and ask if it's right?

Fantastic well done how early ?

9+3 today. I wasn't expecting to have any chance till after 10 weeks.
  • Just sneaking in while my little man is sleeping.

Beenie- I totally know the pain you mean and still sometimes get letdown pain- usually on the opposite side to the side I am feeding on. No ideas on how to improve it, I'm afraid but fingers crossed your milk comes in really soon.

EA- yorkshires are fine in the fridge for a day or so. We've bought them and left them in the fridge till the next day loads of times when our freezer is full up (which is always). They are dead easy to make. Easiest recipe ever is two eggs, a ramekin of flour and a ramekin of milk. Whisk it all up, then the secret is to heat up the oil in the baking tin till it's really, really hot, then add the mixture.

I really wanna know what all the ss gifts are- is anyone willing to post what they received?

Big labour vibes to Maz and anyone else who would like them. Maz just remember that induction really isn't so bad ;), take it from someone who went 15 days over.

  • Hi ladies,

I have been reading just not posting as the cat I stole from upstairs has been really clingy lately and won't leave me alone!

Congrats on the new babies (Beenie you made it sound so easy!) and welcome to the newbies :D

I'm now 34 weeks and am anaemic (sp?), have a UTI and pants SPD. Saw the physio again today and she's going to get me a tens machine for next week seeing as the paracetamol then co-codemol ain't touching it :( Plus I fell over on some ice today :o Felt like a right plonker but thankfully landed on my knees. Saw the midwife on Monday and she had no idea which way round baby was but didn't seem bothered (then again she doesn't seem bothered by much ). On a positive, I am ready for Xmas and cannot wait!

Ooh and I finally got my Sainsburys Little Ones pack today so might just have to pop in tomorrow to a) get me out of the flat and b) I can't resist a freebie and there's a Huggies baby pack going begging :money:

agh, my walk today was a bit of torture. Baby has burrowed itself in the left side of my pelvis methinks (it has always lay to the left) as I get loads of periodic pain (esp. when walking) on that side. Doing 30 min on the Wii Fit (mostly gentle step aerobics & hula hooping!) and then a 30-40 min walk in the afternoon to try and be active enough to get baby out! Not sure if it's helping in the least, but MWs were very keen on staying active.

candycanes, good to hear from you. Hope we all see some action soon!!
