    Welcome Maria

Well, I'm 20 weeks tomorrow. I've felt quite a bit of movement so far, but can anyone remember when their OHs first started to feel the movement (if that makes any sense)?
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Welcome Maria, you are due about the same time as me so we have plenty of time on here to chat hehe:)

I had an e-mail off BB asking if the baby sleeps in a cot or cotbed, he sleeps in a cot so I don't get anything....apparantly they are after babies in cotbeds for a particular product test. Maybe sheets or a mattress?? Anyway typically we are now thinking of buying him a cotbed as we can then move him in to share with his big brothers when new baby arrives....that way he won't be disturbed in the night and it will still fit fine back in the nursery along with the cot once new baby is sleeping through:D once they are both old enough I canget them a set of bunkbeds like their brothers have...as I am 99.9% certain this baby will be a boy too.

I have been reading your posts about calcium etc...and I think I might try it this time, I thnk it will be a pretty quick labour anyway as it is a close pregnancy to last time and I only used entenox last time too, but anything for less pain is worth a shot.

    Mel x

I ve emailed them twice and they said the sling they were meant to be sending me they had sent and somehow it never got deliverd and i was meant to have got a card which i never did and now they were meant to have sent one to my mums house. I will email them again in the morning.
PP how are you feeling now??
They are now inducing my cousin in the morning due to the fact they were too busy to to it today.
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j
  • Im actually feeling ok! My SPD is still playing up a little bit i was in agony when i got up this morning but its bareable, i have managed today without being sick or even feeling sick without taking my tablets too (runs to touch wood before i jinx myself :rotfl: )

Saw the midwife today (was yet another midwife ) and completely tried to brush off my concerns over the hospital and told me i shouldnt take any notice of the news as it had all been hyped up :confused: she wouldnt even discuss me having a home birth neither  She told me to go back in 2 weeks to see her and if i have the baby in the mean time then so be it

Went out to make an appointment for the midwife in 2 weeks time to be told the next available appointment for the midwife wasnt until the 31st jan  at which point i asked wth was the point in that when im due on the 6th  No alternative was offered at all so think i am definatly going to go ahead with changing doctors as i planned though im still a bit nervous as obviously its changing things at such a late stage :o

Managed to get the house sorted completely and i am now free of cardboard boxes :j My friend has moved in with me just incase i go into labour over night so she is here to have the girls should anything happen, and i think im just about ready so if bump wants to make an early appearance at least im ready now :rotfl:

35 weeks on wednesday still cant believe how fast it has gone

    How are you feeling? x
  • Hi PP and everyone else.
I changed doctors after the farce with my emergency appointment for a scan was put through as a standard one that took weeks plus other stuff like them saying i had 2 previous uncomplicated birth despite one being an emergency C/S. I just walked in and said i wanted to change to them and could it be ASAP as i was PG and i was taken straight away had some info to fill in got checked by a nurse and got confirmation in the post in a fortnight but i was told i could see doc before that if needed, so i'd go for it now if you are serious.

I'm seriously thinking about changing hospitals as although it is relatively newly built the MW's don't seem to have a clue what they are doing and i have never been seen within 2hrs of my appointment time so i'm not relishing the thought of going into labour and being told i'll be seen to shortly, have visions of OH catching the baby as i desperately push the button for the trillionth time for a MW.lol

Didn't get to sleep ended up crying in anger at my aunts behavior, need to steer clear of her or i will put her out of mums house and no doubt cause uproar, that's if dad doesn't beat me too it :rotfl:

PP, that's crazy of course you need to see a MW before then!! Call them back and tell them what's what. They have an obligation of care and if that doesn't work, ask to speak to supervisor/head of MWs or whatever!!
