Kindof - so sorry you feel rough, but good you had the day off, hope it eases up for you soon. Love the bump pic, but eek for the stretch marks, poor you have you had them long? Watched one ep of 16 and pregnant the other week, and agree its not as bad as you would think from the title.

kelinik - yeay for team blue :D

Always - fab that you got the cot up :D Maybe hang on and see how big your lil man gets before buying that pop up cot, there no bigger than a moses basket so he may be too big for it by March!

SJ - sorry to hear your car is on its last legs, I dread to think what we'll do if ours goes so can sympathise x

32b - Boo to your aunt!

Aless - good luck with packing your hospital bag thats something am not looking forward too.

EA - i got my Little ones pack on Friday, so chuffed cos couldnt get the huggies thing to print :) And I love the name kal-el :D Oooh can we see a pic of the blanket when it arrives. High chair sounds v sexy hehe. lol at you looking forward to RLT, am gonna do that (already got 2 boxes) as well as the calcium and EPO too. The balls are fab I've had mine a few weeks now :D

Beenie - Arrgghh at your Mum, stupid woman! Did the carpet get done ok?

Charlton Taz - Congrats and welcome to Caitlyn :D

glitterycloud - Happy Due Date :D Think both sets of names are lovely.

Gymfiend - searched all oover ebay for Humphreys stuff, lots of clothes but not a single bookend, will def keep on eye out tho. Love the new pics of the Nursery and bump :D. Oh and have bought a lil fleece jacket and pram suit and some other warm bits in first sizes, been looking for a nice cozy hat too.

mariagti - welcome and congrats on your pg, I had brown discharge at regular intervals around that time too and everything was and is fine. As for HB alot of MW dont like to try and find it before 16 weeks.

Right as for me, got soaked on way to work this morning and ended up trying to get warm for rest of morning. Not going to cadets tonight as tbh am a lil pee'd off with them, they only granted me a 6 month leave of absence so am due back 30th june, its a voluntary organisation for F's sake think am just gonna tell em to stick it. Gonna wrap up and go to in laws with OH now. Catch you laters xx
Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpuls
Working on baby no2 :D

I need to find the whole plan thing that i remember reading on here.

Last time i had a flavoured tea it was the ginger and lemon one to help my morning sickness, and it made me ill! lol. I dont like the taste of ginger anyway so that was prob why. But i love rasberrys :D

Are you doing the calcium thing? This one http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=19307415&postcount=2587

I was going to give it a go, since i have nothing to lose :D

ETA: The 'ehow' website says you can have RLT throughout all of your pregnancy. 1st tri as it helps MS, 2nd tri because our body will 'tank us' and 3rd tri for labour... I thought it was only 32wks +?

sorry i wanst very clear i am doing

RLT
1 cup from 32 weeks
2 cups from 34 weeks
3 cups from 36 weeks
4 cups from 38 weeks
Labour and afterwards - as much as i want:D
(Holland and Barrat warn against rlt before 34 weeks - but i dont understand why)

Calcuim
1 600 mg tab every other day from week 34 (mine has vit d3)
2 600mg tabs on the onset of labour
- i have heard magnesium is used by some to halt labour so i am steering clear of it . I know some ladies take very high doses of calcuim - but this is not something i wanted to do.
2 600mg tabs on the onset of labour

Iorn
1 200mg ferrous sulphate every other day from week 34 - because i want nice strong iorn stores for the bleeding afterwards:D

Evening Primrose Oil
1 capsule massaged into the perinium from week 34 (cos i dont want to insert it or take it orally)

I would def go with Aless's plan though or Glams because i am just kind of doing what i feel like iyswim - i wish i could find glam's plan:rolleyes:

Wow PP, that looks good. I've been emailed about some tea so far but thats it, hopefully will get something else soon.

I'm starving, think I might go and get some cornflakes, just trying to not eat loads so I don't put on too much weight.

At MW tomorrow, need to ask about the HiPG (forgot last time) and apparently my hospital don't do tours of the unit now, you have to borrow a dvd from the MW instead- can't think what else I need to ask, think this is an appt without blood tests (31 weeks) so should be quite quick.

The dog has now been sick, bit worried about him now as he keeps being sick every few days, and is getting old so we are taking him to the vets tomorrow so hopefully he will be on the mend soon.

I got a new car about ten days ago, 3 days later it went to the garage to be fixed (was bunny hopping for no apparent reason) and they still have it, grrr, i want my car back!

Have got OHs at the mo and he has a van borrowed from his dad so still getting about, but miss my car already!

jha - I saved Glam's plan, but everyone please remember that she was due to get induced at 38 weeks so the dates are prolly a bit off for everyone else planning a 'normal' delivery (poss. add 2 weeks to every date or just adjust slightly to meet your needs):

Quote:
Well, this is my proposed plan of action - the calcium is supposed to be a pain reliever. EPO to help soften cervix, RLT is to help womb contract so quick second stage and to help contract back after birth. Arnica cream to apply to my lady bits afterwards to soothe them!

Calcium in weeks before labour 1,000mg a day see below with new RDA
Calcium at onset of labour 2,000 mg

EPO 1-2 500mg from week 34 to week 37
3-4 500mg during week 38
Insert 1 capsule each night from week 36

RLT 1 cup from Week 32 to Week 33
2 cups Week 34 to Week 35
3 cups in Week 36
4 cups in week 37 and 38
TOTAL = 6 boxes of 20 tea bags

Arnica Cream For application after birth decided on arnica tablets instead see doses below Quote:
one of those sites links to this dosage for calcium

http://www.herbs2000.com/minerals/calcium.htm

which says average RDA for pregnant woman is 1,200mg (so 2 tabs for me) and then I'll double up to 2,000mg at onset of labour like Weezl's link says.
Quote:
just been researching dosage of Arnica tabs so plan to take

Arnica Tabs 30c 2 tablets 3 times a day – 3 days before
30c 2 tablets every 2 hours – up to 6 doses on day of labour
30c 2 tablets 3 times a day 5 days after There are doses for 'acute cases' - such as accidents, operations and things and then a lower dose for a few days after the acute case. It treats shock as well as the bruising which is good.

I've re-adjusted for myself and plan was/is:

RLT
Weeks 30-34, 1 cup/day
Weeks 34-36, 2 cups/day
Weeks 36-38, 3 cups/day
Weeks 38+, 4 cups/day

EPO
Weeks 34ish-36, 1/day
Weeks 36-38, 2/day plus insert 1/night roughly 3x a week?
Weeks 38+, 3/day plus insert 1/night

Arnica
As above, but just starting to take at first signs of labour (since I can't plan that in advance!)

Calcium
Weeks 38+, 2/day
plus as above for onset of labour
