  • Hiya everyone,

SJ and Aless, a sprung mattress is more supportive and lasts longer so in my opinion that's a better choice for a cotbed as your baby will be sleeping in it for a few years. HTH.

JHA is your cat any better today?

I've lost half a stone since booking in but I have carried on with slimming world and I have around 4 stone to loose.

Aless, congrats on your last day! My last day of work was just over 2 years ago but sometimes I feel like I would rather go to work than look after a 2 year old all day :rotfl:

Hi All, hope everyone is doing well, just a quick post before LO wakes up again. I went to the Mothercare in purley way and it was useless. Can't suggest what to try - I was going to get a nursing bra at home when I go up for Christmas but my home town is Cockermouth and the bra shop was flooded along with the hairdressers I was going to go to and all my favourite pubs :(. You could try the internet? I got a bra from here which was good - you can return them for free as well if the size isn't right http://www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk/search.asp?types=Bravado my sister says Hot Milk is the best.

    Hugs to everyone :)

Thanks for this Jenny - their measuring guide brings my band size to 35 which should be 36 and the bigger measurement is 40 so 36D! When our proper broadband gets switched on (still on the neighbours freebie unsecured wireless ;)) I will order some - will I be able to cope not having one in the early days, I thought they were an essential from the off. Mind you this does assume my boobs work and I can bf!!

Feeling better today than yesterday - was very grim yesterday so went up to the assessment unit and while my bp is high it's apparently not abnormally high for me so sent home after an hour of monitoring. Am fed up now and really wish little man would arrive so I can start feeling better. Off to finish almost last of the curtains - this one is for the 3m lounge window so need to pin and hem 12 metres of fabric, hope the sewing machine doesn't pack up half way through!

Just been having a quick catch up. lou are they going to try to turn your LO? My sister had hers turned and they gave her gas and air while they did it so she didn't feel any pain.

PP - you could just turn up at a different hospital, say you were just passing when contraction started? LOL

  • The only other hospital locally my ex's mum works there  he is the father to my girls who was violently abusive to me and has stalked me constantly since i left him, i have an injunction out on his which means him and anyone connected with him in ayway cant contact me in anyway including face to face, but she traced my records to find my address at the same hospital back in 2007 and i really dont want to put myself and the kids at risk again :(

I dont know what to do, i mean i knew the hospital wasnt great but i had no idea it was that bad
  • Yeh lou you must update us as soon as poss as i want to know if you have a section how it went so i know what to expect. I am glad i will have the weekend before to prepare as they offered me the 11th and i said no as it is my nieces 1st bday and i didn't want them sharing the same bday.

Bubs had hiccups all last night while i was trying to sleep. It was so funny as i have never experienced them before. Hubby thought it was amazing.

I just watched born with 2 mothers on the comp after EA said she saw it. Wow! i did guess the outcome though as i am sure i have read about this happening in the new papers.

Moo - I might feel the same way once baby comes! lol...though I'm sure your 2 year old is very cute :D

always - can't believe you're due next week! Can't believe it's DECEMBER next week! Hope you continue feeling better.

PP - not sure TBH  suspect that a 'planned' switch of hospitals this late would be impossible, but if you turned up at one in labour, surely they wouldn't turn you away! If it makes you feel better, I'm sure they're being extra cautious/careful with all their patients now that it's all over the news...sorry hon. And you can still legally have a homebirth as they can't FORCE you into a hospital without consent, but obviously with your condition you'd have to make that call whether it's a risk to baby's health.

I didn't think she was very cute last night when she drew all over herself with a permenant marker, she even got it under her nappy, and it was all over her face which luckily I managed to get off but she still has lines on her legs and tummy :rotfl:

    Umm, Afternoon..?? :D

I woke up at 1pm, not feeling very well today. I seemed to have gotten ill over night! lol

OH made me stay in bed this morning, and he had to leave for work at 10:45am, so i only saw him for the 5 mins he came him to hug me goodbye :(

I had the weirdest dream! In the dream my sister was doing a tattooing course at college, but it was based in a train station and my old flat. Then one day one of the boys in her class spat at this girl and she died from it, and loads of kids tied him to a fence to throw things at him, and he wanted me to tell his story when he was gone.

    So weird lol.

I was staring at the date on my phone this morning thinking "I know something important is happening today" after a while of staring it suddenly hit me.
I should be due to give birth today if i didn't mc in April
But im not upset or anything like i thought i would be, i have so much love for the baby im carrying now, im ok with it :o:o

It was so good wasn't it?! Me and OH discussed the results and he thought the white parents should of got the baby seeing as she grew him, gave birth to him and cared for him for 10 months
