  • Aw bless - i liked Same Difference, lol! I wouldn't have bought their music though but i did think they were amazing to always be sooooo happy and cheery. They were the type of music i'd like my kids to like when they are young...but my DD is 3 and into JLS (nooooo............help!!!!!, lol) and Michael Buble (or boobelly in her words), that one i can accept, hehe!

Hugs to you Sarah - i hope you both get better asap so you can go and visit!

Gill, cheapie ones are fine - i got mine in a yoga (or similar) set from smiths for about £5 clearance a few years ago.

Ooh good luck Karen. Get rolling on your gym ball!

I had a few contractions last night, every 20 minutes but then they stopped and I had nothing all night so I'm not getting my hopes up. I even changed the bedding last night in the hope of tempting fate and making my waters break, bit it failed!

OH is at work today, and it's his first day with a new boss so fingers crossed I don't have to call him home today as it's not a great impression! Thankfully his cold seems much better so it hasn't turned into anything nastier.

LCK- any news on your contractions?

Yay for those having a day off, boo for those as work! I need to go and grab some RLT later, but that's about the sum of my plans today....saying that I am trying to get the mountain of washing done and hoover the nursery so actually quite a busy day! Then I am attempting to recreate a veggie version of this using Quorn fillets with some dauphinoise potatoes!

POLLO SICILIANA chargrilled chicken breast, prosciutto ham and plum tomato slices, baked with our blend of cheese

    Nom, nom!

I'm still around. Had a bath and just relaxing. I don't have a gymball so am just wandering about. I'm sure baby will come when ready. I promise I am trying to cross my legs helen but unfortunately I do want my baby out too;):rotfl:

GISI hope you don't have to call your OH on his first day with new boss.

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing ok. I'm 5 days overdue now and soooo fed up
I have an induction date of 11th November, when I'll be 14 days overdue!

I need labour vibes please ladies x
    Labour vibes to Littlebit :D

The maternity exemption form was in my bounty pack when I went to my booking in appointment. It didn't take long at all to arrive. although since then I have got married so its in the wrong name.

I have OH's Iphone with the contraction app so I can try and keep track. a little while ago it seemed to be every 10 mins now its back up to 20ish??? I just wish when these things start that you know its going to happen!!! I really feel for you helen cause I have only had stuff happening since friday and I am fed up with it already.
Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early) :D
  • Yey Helen, hope this is the start for you then!

I'm fed up with work, again. Sitting here after not being in since last Tuesday and I'm just wishing the time away.

And I'm disappointed I cna't go to my mum's for tea tonight. Every Monday she has me and DH, sis and her DH, my grandma (Dad's mum) and grandparents on her side for tea. It's really nice to all get together each week for tea.

Well my Grandma (mum's mum!) started her chemo last week so can't be near anyone who has any kind of illness and my glands are up! Feel fine but obviously my body is fighting some kind of infection so I can't go :(

My sister has ringworm too, and the hospital have said she can't go see her either. Boo.

You've been in the wars recently SJ! Hope your Grandma is okay, and fingers crossed you're better to go next week.

Where did you get your gymball from gisi? Is it a posh one or are the cheap ones just as good?

It's from Argos- not sure how much it was as OH got it but I think it's just a basic one.

does anyone else having contractions seem to have them like a wave - seems to build up gradually then get really painful then gradually fade away? maybe this is to give you a chance to do something to take some pain relief. Maybe I should have got a TENS machine - oh well too late now.

Yep, that's how my MW described them at our classes and what I have been getting (very sporadically).

does anyone/did anyone early on feel slightly breathless? I'm not sure if it's down to my bra being tight - I've been measuring everythingweekly and have gained 2 inches around bust but none underneath. But think it may be some of the cause of ms... which is getting horribly worse in the last few days. Pretty much everything makes me feel sick now, even walking through town due to so many Bedford people smoking!! Yuk I was one of them a couple of months ago!

  • Mermaid - yes i do, sometimes feel like i need to get out and do some excercise or my lungs'll pack up cos they feel heavy - is that what you mean? I think it might be something to do with the growing uterous pushing everything else upwards.

I'm 10 something if that helps. Physically being sick does seem to ease it for me though if that helps at all. Sorry if it doesn't! Sitting up with back straight helps ease it a bit too as i am a terrible sloucher so get it alot.
