Is that your dd in the pic, how old is she? Is she able to eat somewhere else, maybe just sit her on the floor and can she climb into her cot herself? Failing that just pick her up anyway;)
Yeah thats DD, she insisted on being in the pic with mummy :rotfl:
She'll be 2 on the 26th Nov. I might just let her eat sitting on a dining chair instead of in the booster attached to the chair IYSWIM and we've been thinking about taking the sides of her cotbed (we did take them off but when we moved from a flat into a house she wouldn't settle at night so we put them back to make her feel more secure).
I'm gonna have to pick her up sometimes though lol I'm not gonna leave her to cry if she falls over and hurts herself, I think the consultant was talking crap lol and being a man he has no idea what being a mum is all about :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member 710 -
PP so glad you're ok
Congrats on team pink Moosmummy, your little girl is beautiful btw
OH got COD today too - so I've not had a word of sense out of him since he got through the door! I told him to complete it quick so I could eBay it, to which he told me he was keeping it and to sell something of my own ha
Som how lovely - I love the M&P's rocking toy range, we have the LottieThey're mega cute.
Ooh & SJ, good score on the mobile front
Thanks for agreeing that OH's bro is a twerp, helps me to confirm I'm not totally irrationalTo boot, his mum & stepdad called me tonight to say they were booking skiing, gave me dates etc to confirm with OH. I didn't say anything just said I'd pass the message on, not bothered to tell him yet as he's far to engrossed in COD. Is it just me that's this unlucky with OH having a poo family? NB: They told me this before bothering to ask about baby, and when they did, it was only a quick 'how's baby? oh sorry, got to go now', bleurgh.
Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
32b - you needed that ar$$e of MW like a hole in the head! Some people I could just throttle! No need to be rude like that.
When i got out from being monitored nearly all the MW were away and the rest were to busy to deal with it.lol honestly i have no luck.
Congratulations on team pink moosmummy

Ah, yeah definitely try the sides off again, will make life a bit easier for you and just sitting on the chair, maybe a cushion under her bum to raise her slightly and she should still be able to climb on herself:)
And I agree they say these things but I'm sure they are fully aware that they are going to be impossible to stick to 100%. With ds3 I had a low placenta and was told to take things easy....:rotfl:Hmmm!

I won't even go into what a complete disaster dh's family are....and mine aren't that good to be honest. My mum, sis and bro complete forgot about my 30th in October...no-one even got in touch with me till 2wks after!!!
We just try and isolate ourselves as much as possible from them all and make excuses if the try and impose on us too much:rolleyes:Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Sorry about the carp midwife three. They are fine thanks three. The cat is still hanging on in there - somehow:D she has this new probiotic kaolin paste med now in addition to crazy ammounts of steroids - i keep going into the house expecting to find her hanging off the curtains she is so wild:D
Mum was a star today :Tand came to the rescue again as my tort is sick and i couldnt deal with the infuriating local tort vet (once charged me 250 pounds for a prolapsed female tort only to find out it was a male and was showing its bits to the vet:eek::rotfl::o) nor did i have any cash so i was going to "surrender" him to the local charity.but mum took him and there is a new vet that saw him and agreed that it is either a uti or kidney probs, agreed with my requested treatment approach, didnt charge us a fortune and complimented me on my care of the tort over the telephone and mum said he took my tortie out into the waiting area to show someone who had a mis treated tort how a well looked after tort should be. i was a proud tortie mum:D

Sorry the midwife was so carp 3, just what you don't need hey hun. Glad bubs was nice & active for you though, always lovely to see them on screen
Glad I'm not the only one Mel! I wish OH would see the light and distance himself, but it's not my place to tell him to so just hope one day he will realise how utterly awful and selfish they are. MIL once told me her dream was to 'divorce husband, have my big house & my Merc outside with a car seat in the back for my grandchild' - ooh lovely, so your kids are nowhere on that list, your house and Merc come first, and then the car seat for your grandchild to show off what a (pretend) caring woman you are! I think I was meant to take it differently, but couldn't help but think of it that way!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
three I can't believe how rude they were to you, especially after you told them what you are going through. Aren't they the ones who talk about lessening stress during pregnancy?!
Gymfriend :rotfl: at twerp!
I'm really lucky as far as family goes, I have a sister who is 2 years younger than me, lives 5 mins walk away and who is my best friend, parents who are really supportive and get on with them great, and IL's who love me to bits, don't interfere and who just want to help us and see us happy. Oh, and a husband who is the best hubby ever and treats me like a princess! I am a very lucky girl
:D
