Right, Smarties have been consumed. Hopefully the sugar coated-ness gives baby a little sugar rush and wakes her up :)

Had a horrible nights sleep, was in so much pain when i moved my legs. Just to turn over i had to slowly sit up, turn round slightly and ease myself down. I cant walk properly either.

I was going to go to the treatment centre but apparently they dont deal with back injurys. So have a hot water bottle instead :D

Whey! Baby is awake now, she's kicking the laptop hehe.

Is today Tuesday? If so, then good luck with your scan smartie!! :D

I was awake at 7am today, i cant believe it. Im never awake at 7am lol.

Labour vibes for Guinea! Unless she's had baby :) And then some for (in order) Som, Me, Kindof & Gym! :D

Names are so hard, I have a very strict criteria to names I like and it is hard work!!! I have worked with kid's for 10+ years and it must not be the same name as a child from work, I like really unusual names but that can be shortened to a 'normal' name if they decide they want to, and I don't want there to be 5 of them in the class as they end up being called their last name all the time eg Jack C, Jack D etc. There were 5 Rebecca's in my class!

My DD has a really unusual name and occasionally people do a surprised face when I tell them her name so I can tell they don't like it, and some people on here have told me they don't like it too, but ultimately I love it, and no matter what her name is DD is a bright, friendly, happy little girl and makes friends easily so I don't think her name will hold her back any! :D I have an unusual name and it has never bothered me (I was the only one in my secondary school of 3,000 pupils)

The thing is names are so personal that apart from making children an obvious target such as Wayne King etc, all we can do is pick something we like for them. Kid's can be cruel and most children will get teased for something at some point and I always maintained that I would rather someone took the mickey out of my name than looked a bit deeper for something more hurtful!

Cafc- I like Leon better than Landon so bucking the trend, but think that may be because my friends little boy is called Leon and he is such a star he makes me think fondly of it. Landon sounds a bit American IMO, or like a cockney saying London :) I really like the name Leo though and I like Linden and Logan too. Foe what my opinions worth! he he.

EA- yes definitely, and even though logically I know I would soon forget the horrible connotations and just associate the name with my child, it does just really put me off! :)

    Morning!

Hope Som's off having a baby right now since the rest of us are still here :D

Sorry you're not managing much sleep Kindof :(

Sorry you're in pain EA :(

Lol EA we've been put off almost every name because of other people - Elliot for example, front runner for ages, til I was reminded of OHs friend with the name, total pr*ck! I'm hoping I don't meet anyone called Guy before baby is born because it might ruin it for me!!

Same in my family Esio - all the men on dads side have had the same name forever, except for my bro, dad bucked the trend cos his family are awful and he didn't want to carry it on! I'm using my dads nickname as a middle name though :)

Yeah when we discussed girls names, OH would say one and i'd be like "No she's a total sl.ut"
"No she got pregnant at 14"
    etc lol!

Some boys names he suggested i was like "No i had an ex by that name..." :o

I dont know anyone called Guy. Except Guy Ritchie. And i dont personally know him so it doesn't count lol

Thanks :D We've had a real mixed bag of responses (not that I care!) - OHs stepdad hates it, which only makes me more determined :)

Lol EA that reminds me, I love Quinn, but can't use it despite OH loving it too, as my ex's mum once told me she was going to use it for said ex if she didn't use the name he ended up with! Grr

  • Hi Ladies x
    Sorry I haven't been on in ages...been a mess :(
Now he says that he doesn't love me and isn't seeing a certain girl...he's just playing jack the lad. Out of a weekend drinking and doing god knows what. Said he still wants to come around and see me and maybe still go on holiday together!? Just don't get it? I've only around 11weeks left till babys here and the stress is terrible as my son keeps asking when daddys coming home. Really lucky to have a helpful family and friends. He just says he can't be with me or live with me as he doesnt love me...my hearts broken :(
