  • Its pay day today so I need to go and get the kids some new clothes while they are at school and I really need some new bras. Might have a mooch round at maternity clothing too as all my work clothes are getting tight
  • Hi not been on for a day or two and theres millions of pages, dont think i can catch up but had a scan through!!
Noticed most ladies here seem 30 weeks +, all nearing the wonderful end, at 18 weeks feel like i have forever to go, but having little man to entertain me i often forget then wonder how another week has passed me by!! Hes just about 18 months now so no rest for me, although he is so well behaved and happy all the time, just hope next bubs is similar or ill get a shock!!

Im 20 and will be 20 when baby is born, me and OH want quite a big family, maybe 4 or 5?? How do other people feel about family sizes?

I dont need much equipment this time, just a new car seat and a double buggy, DS will need a bed as well, going to get a toddler one because the cot isnt a cot bed, so bubs can go in that once he/she has outgrown moses basket. Just if its a girl ill need to get all clother e.c.t, my sister had a girl, same age as my DS but gives all her clothes to charity so nothing to pass on!! never mind!

my mum just sent me an email to say:

Dont forget to remind Craig (my hubby)- after birth of first baby is traditionally when you're given your eternity ring - best get shopping!

LOL God love her, maybe she can remind him *wink wink*

  • I bought a ring from JP Diamonds (was from inheritance - I'm not rich!) and I love looking at that site. Although obviously, under normal circumstances, I can't afford anything from there! I do like to look though...
  • Olismum we are having baby no4 and I think this'll be our last due to practicalities of housing etc.
TBH we thought dd2 was the last one:cool: but as I am one of 8 and love being part of a big family and DH is an only child which he always hated I think we have a good balance.

Cafc- someone should've told my DH that about the eternity ring but we weren't actually married when dd was born 11 yrs ago so that would've been weird.
Although he gave me one in Sept for our 7th wedding anniversary (and the week after finding out about 4th baby) which was really lovely and sentimental as I wasn't expecting it at all and he's not usually the best present buyer;) Then I found out the other day when we were talking about a place in the next county and hubby said he'd driven there and back in 2 hrs and I said " when? what for?" and he told me it was to collect my ring cos it 'was the right one'- that made me melt:D

LMF - no idea about the mia trolleys! Matybe ask the manager or write to head office with them as a suggestion, if no one complains they wont do anything about it!

Kindof - Mmmm KFC, wonder if I could con OH into getting some tomorrow as its pay day for both of us :D Aww poor OH having horrid dreams, My OH woke me up shouting "whats happening?" think he thought it was kicking off! Our hospital has those TVs too, tho the last time I was there the internet on them wasnt switched on yet :(

gym - yeay for bargains and double yeay for cute bedding :D

gill - hmm unusual for that range, thought you were gonna say another one thats got a bad rep for having busted bits. Shouldnt have an issue getting the parts tho. Oh and stressing over trivial things is fine yoiu just want everything to be perfect for bubs :D

pigpen - ooh about the same mental age as me then hehe. Slightly biased as an employee, but I used the Babyplan and loved it, I also got mine when the extra 10% off was on so got some real bargains that way. The other bonus is while the stock is reserved, if it goes further down in price either on promotion or sale then if you let the store know they will match that new lower price. I had 5 items that did this on my plan and saved me around another £80!

CAFC - ooh another one having KFC :D I can really sympathise with some of your predicament hun. I live no where near any of my family, just OHs parents who are a 15 min drive away and they dont drive so never visit. We're up to our eyeballs in debt too and Im older than you! Again we made lots of stupid descisions that got us here. We cant afford to move out of our 1 bed and def wont be able to now I'll be on reduced wages so really hoping the council will come thru for us. My Birthday always comes and goes without anything happening so have got used to that, the only bonus is OH is really looking forward to Mothers day for me this year hehe. Anyhoo, your not alone is what I wanted to say x Oh and the eternity ring is such a fab idea, me and OH have no plans to get married but still that would be nice, I wonder who I can get to drop a hint at him!

Nikkit - yeay for having a deffinate place, I know its too late for you to see, but am still wishing you lots of luck and easy labour vibes x

nene - your DD is a real cutie still x

redstar - my plans are a lil behind schedule too, I'd wanted my first baby before I was 30, so nearly 3 years out. But after 6+ years trying am just grateful now and hope it doesnt take so long for the next one to come along.

confuzzled - big congrats hun, and welcome :D we dont bite, honest!

Olipops - both me and OH always liked the idea of 3 children but as I said having taken 6+ years to get as far as no 1 we will take what we can get and be grateful :D

Well that turned into a longer post than I thought! Had another rubbish nights sleep mainly due to sore hips and discomfort, also a few more cramps so hoping something is happening.

39 weeks today woot woot! Hoping things kick off either today or tomorrow as a friend I used to work with is training on labour ward atm and she is such a lovely level headed person would love for her to be around thru birth and keep me in check, also today/tomorrow is half way between mine and OHs birthdays :D

Plans for today, change bedding and sort out 0-3 month clothes for washing. Get to escape once OH fin work later as he is going to dentist and am gonna go with and have a wonder around the charity shops near there :D
Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpuls
    Working on baby no2 :D
