WM, ah this morning the boys were angels! Becuase they were not getting to open their advent calenders till they were dressed, shoed, jacketed and standing in the hall :D Maybe you could make a wee treat reward thing similar?

    Genius!

I've a quick question. A friend of mine's sponsoring a family for Christmas. It's a US tradition - here's an excerpt from the blog:

In other news, I've "adopted" a family for Christmas, meaning I have to get them a Target or Safeway gift card, and get my "adopted" kid an outfit and two gifts from his wish list. His list was:
    1) winter coat
    2) bike and helmet
    3) PSP game
    4) apparel from his favorite soccer team

Is it just me, or is that a rather grabby wish list from the kid? I'm not sure if I'm being mean or if the kid might not understand that those are all expensive things, you know? But if that's the case, shouldn't the parent/s have checked over the list and maybe suggested he ask for less expensive stuff?

 I was thinking we haven't used the swing in a while - probably at least two months! - and I could take it down to make room for the Christmas tree. Rhys has been a bit whinging all day, playing until he can play no more then crashing out, so in a last ditch attempt to keep him occupied, I thought I'd try him in the swing which he previously hated. He watched the birds in the garden for a while and is now fast asleep! Might have to rethink the tree's spot..
