  • Afternoon all. I'm going to join the "baby asleep on me" club if I may, I need to go out soon, but when we went out at naptime yesterdau she stayed awake all day, so I'm going to let her kip till we need to leave.

Oh - I got some gloves for Izzy the other week, but she won't keep them on. Any bright ideas out there? I've sewed socks over the end of her sleeves this morning (really rush job, as she was trying to help!) as it is freezing out there even in these southern climes ;) It looks really silly though - will do for today, but I want to unpick and find a more sensible solution in the long run.

Might see about getting Izzy a funeral outfit too? We have a few nice outfits ready for christmas parties, but I don't want to "spoil" them and feel like I then can't put her in them for a party too iyswim? Might have a look while I'm out. Oh and i'm filling empty small coke bottles with different kinds of rattly things, so want to go to the craft shop for a few bits. It will be mostly pasta and nails and things we already have, but I might get some jingle bells or something :)

You're still counting in days? Is it not hours yet? ;)

Grr @ OH  Just got this txt: "Have asked Dad if he wants to visit you later... yadda yadda yadda.... So what's your plan for today?". Is that not a bit backward?! Incidentially my plans were to go out later and as we've got an appointment at home tomorrow at half one, I'd already txt his dad earlier to see if he wanted to come round after work (half three) tomorrow since we're home anyway

Em I think those boots are lovely...I would never buy boots online though because I have huge fat calfs, so I HAVE to try them on.

Talking of which, I am off to look for some boots after eating my rolls...FIL has given me and dh £30 each for xmas and as tempted as I was to just put it in the bank for bills, I really need some black boots so I can start wearing my leggings again...I am already struggling to fit into my jeans.

SM - well done on the tidying.

    Hello to everyone.

So cannot keep up with this thread.

I am in work today (for about another hour). KIT day. I think that the only time i may be able to keep up is when back at work full time in January.

Alex (12 weeks old) is now on infant gaviscon and has thankfully stopped being sick all the time and is now going at least 3 hours instead of 2 between feeds. He is currently at his Nans being spoiled to death no doubt.

Incidently he has horrendous cradle cap, have been using dentinox, but but doesn't seem to be budging, does anyone have any other remedies or ideas (not medical advice!;))

    Thanks
  • hi everyone - we're still alive but just been really busy the last few days! Quick question how much would you pay for a 2nd hand jumperoo? Theres one local to me and they've said £45 on a buy it now (ebay). How much use will Reece get out of it? He loves a bouncer thing they've got at the childrens centre so considering it

    I have a headache :(

We're supposed to be going to booby group this afternoon but Caitlyn's still asleep and my bus pass ran out yesterday, I feel a bit bad because I told a Mum at my Monday group about it yesterday and she said she'd pop along... I feel like I should be there too... But then, it is the same Mum I went out in the rain for the Monday afternoon group 2 weeks ago for and she didn't turn up... I think I'm going to curl up in bed with my babba and ring my Aunt back instead...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Hello stranger!
I just make sure its soaked in the bath and then once out of bath but still wet, comb the hair lots while applying a bit of pressure to loosen it all.
The cause of cradle cap is basically lack of friction wearing away dead skin so just combing brushing rubbing often should get rid of it eventually :)

Rhys isn't in ours everyday yet. Usually only when he wants to bounce about and my arms have had enough, cos he can't reach all of the bits on it yet so gets bored after a while. Think he's done max 30mins in it while we've been eating tea.

If you want to try Reece in one, come round and try ours :)
