Well I know you said you had no plans to get hitched but I haven't been keeping up just now and thought there had been a dramatic change lol

Yes, its a sit down meal afterwards for so many?, then a hot buffet for the evening for more people.

Apparently its a wedding breakfast because its the first meal of your wedding day, because in the olden days, you weren't allowed to eat before going to church.

Glam in a hardcore Catholic wedding service of days of yore, you'd go fasting to your wedding - hence wedding breakfast ;)

I don't know if it's still done. I was eating mouthfuls of bagel in between getting my makeup done and then mortified cause I couldn't brush my teeth without ruining my lipstick :rotfl:

Mother here, Husband still sick but Mother (Nan) can entertain Baby while I (Mama) get stuff done around the house. Laundry done, rubbish out, lots of cleaning done, a whole cup of tea drunk, tons of small jobs that have been building up.

Had a rather ominous email from my boss saying that we'll keep our meeting tomorrow morning and "discuss things then". I'm not sure if he's being direct and German or if he's going to refuse me permission to take leave, in which case I can appeal to the Betriebsrat (like a union only not one) and get emergency leave, but that would be unpaid and a pain in the butt. I'm going to tell him what the doctors said and suggest that I apply for parental leave till the end of December and then if I can return early do so. That makes more sense than extending if and when I have to, I think, especially considering the amount of holiday I have accrued that I'd need to take before the end of the year so I'd be in work for a maximum of two weeks anyway.

OK, back to Productive Mama. 60mls expressed as well, which isn't as good as my 110ml fluke the other day but will suit me for the moment.

Edit: and Oooooooh, I'm an Auntie! Apparently Husband told me last night but I was asleep. Baby girl weighed 2.6kg despite being two weeks overdue.

What have I missed? Too lazy to read back :(

    in my world,

do I get DS2 the swine flu jag?
OT was bemoaning the uselessness of the EP.
DS2 announced that he doesn't want to go to school next year and he also got a gold star for 'working with others' today.
DS1 is chuffed that he has the BFG book and so does his teacher.
Amber loves her little play mat thing and is too long for pretty 0-3month dresses :D
