  • Oh I forgot to say - DH got some chocolates this morning on the way into work to cheer me up, and when we got back from dropping him off Izzy tipped them all onto the floor and stuffed one in her mouth before I could get to her.

I wasn't going to let her have chocolate till Christmas (would have been till she is 1, but Christmas is only 2 weeks short of that, and trying to keep her chocolate free at Christmas with grandparents around is wishful thinking anyway!), but never mind.

Morning all. I'm not normally here on a Monday, but got a call at 6:45, which is never a good sign, so knew it wouldn't be good news before DH passed the phone over to me. It was my Mum to say my granny died last night :(

I'm ok, but keep remembering stuff, and didn't want to go to work today. I will have to stay off tomorrow, as they have gone up to sort things out so no childcare. After speaking to work I'm now thinking I probably could have gone in today (nursery day), as my boss was a bit funny with me.... but sod them. I'm getting past caring with work at the mo tbh.
So sorry to hear of your loss. I thought it was fairly normal for people to miss work when a close relative dies so I would have expected your boss to be a bit more understanding. :grouphug:

Good mornin! Mr Christopher had mummy up approximately 5 tomes last night, I don't remember the times, seems that I have kindly passed my cold, cough and sore throat onto him! I'm such a bad mummy! :( but OH kindly took them both downstairs to let me have a lie-in, but I couldn't get back over to sleep. So on the iPhone up in bed while I listen to him struggling to feed both their breakfast!! Hehe!

We have advent calenders and I also bought the advent tree that tesco had....I just need an idea of what is small enough to put in it for katie that isn't more chocolate/sweeties!!?

Edit; so sorry for your loss ladybird, hugs a plenty!! Xx
    Carla-Farla!! :)

I must be mean - when people give Alice chocolate at Christmas etc. I just give it to OH to eat instead.

sorry ladybird to hear about your Granny. I sort of understand how you must be feeling - my granny had a stroke on friday morning :(

On the upside though my sister has announced she is pg!!!!! It's all very exciting :D Although I'm not meant to tell anyone - but figured you aren't real anyway ;)

Had a lovely time at my parents - except LO and I had the horrible vomitting bug while we were there. Yuck. But at least we are fine now. It's been 3 sold weeks of various illnesses teething etc so looking forward to a week of wellness in r.mac towers.

v busy day, but hope to check back regularly and get a chance to read back.

  • ((HUGS)) ladybird and MacSmiler.

I never had any grandparents so don't really understand but it must be awful.

Benjamin was quite a bit better this morning so I have come into work...but I feel a bit crappy about it :(

Having said that, nothing like a day at the CM to keep you occupied and make you forget about your runny nose and cough :o
