Ooh I have an appointment at 4pm on Monday with the council, basically they want me to prove why it's ok to live so near to my current town (it's within half an hour) so the woman from 'worth services' has done me a supporting letter, and going to give them the numbe rof the woman from the family centre too, shelter said they wil try and do everything to not help me but we have got over one hurdle as they werent even willing to see me at first.

    Hi all again :)

for all the mums of older children (2+) I'd really recommend the current new netmums parenting course emails. I've been getting them and I really like their advice thoughts and exercises around discipline, boundaries, self-esteem and so on. I think they're useful to us newer mums too, but I find I'm often storing up a good tip til later :)

I've been reflecting a bit today on our little parents club community and how I feel about us all. I realised I want to say how much I value you all, and that I am so very glad to have met you at such an important meaningful time in all our lives.

Here like in real life, I don't always have a lot to say. But sometimes I do and am a bit cheeky :). In real life if we all sat round together I would smile and nod whenever anyone said anything, but not always comment. On here my equivalent is the 'thanks' button, although rarely it doesn't work on the occasional post. That's me smiling or nodding.

I thought I'd just write that cos maybe it's not been clear.

MFD Fergus has been getting on quite well with boots own cough syrup and it made him cry less after a coughing fit. It seems a bit 'fake appley' but he'll usually let us syringe some in for him. :)

I am having a very frugal tea tonight 25p :) jacket potato fish fingers and beans. nomnomnom :)

    Hello everyone!

I have only been on here once or twice since Jake arrived because we have had computer issues, but now I have got a brand new laptop I should be able to join you more often! :j

    How is everyone doing?

Jake is now 6 weeks old and weighs 10lb 6oz!

He feeds really well - between 4 and 5 fl oz at each feed and seems to be sleeping relatively well - only waking once in the night for a feed! I a wondering though, roughly when can I expect him to start sleeping through the night?

And can any of you recommend good night time nappies because I am having to change him at his middle of the night feed which seems to wake him up a bit, otherwise he is soaked through in the morning!

Any good tips would be gratefully received!

I hope you and your little ones are all ok!

    Cheers
    Mad

P.s How can I post pics on here?
Nappies we use are pampers or huggies super dry (or whatever they are usually called - they are marketed as 12 hr nappies) and we use a size bigger too when we are on the cusp so to speak and he has nearly outgrown the size he is in.

    Oh !!!!!!.

They're not letting him home - his haemoglobin is inexplicably low and he's had another transfusion. And his disgusting drainage tube has tested positive for staph infection, if that gets into his compromised insides we're in serious trouble.

SS <<hugs>> - hope he is getting better and will be home soon.

AM I knew someone who had her ex kick her front door down (although she called the police and they came in time to stop more) and she moved literally 5 mins away but just didn't tell him where she went - the kids didn't get to see their dad again for ages though so I guess it wasn't ideal - but it goes to show that you don't have to move miles away to shake them off.

Heylo Tia, you not on the school run today?

Always on the school run, me :( yay weekend! :D
    Hi all
I'm not good today, Ryry had a marathon screamathon last night, 2.5 hours of it! just as I was about to go to bed.
Then he was really hot this morning to I was waiting for docs to cell when he fell and bashed his mouth, god there was so much blood, he only fell from an all 4's position, but it seemed that is was where his 4th tooth was coming through that got cut.
So I took him down A&E who said he's got a viral and ear infection, I got my eye seen to aghain as this morning it was so swollen, they gave me some diferent drops so hopefully this will do the trick cos it's all getting me down.

I'm also waiting for the housing from the next town to get in contact, I'm trying to get a move there, but they are trying to dig their heels in, so got SHELTER and the domestic violence team helping me, also the woman from the family centre said she's gonna try and help me too.

I'm stayin at Mum's for now, cos the refuge was just too far away and I need the support from my Mum or i'll go crazy!

How is everyone? sorry i've n ot been on much, i just feel a bit funny :o

(hugs) Chin up hun, it will all work out and trust me, you are doing the best thing for both you and your kids.
  • I have some coconut cream which I bought this morning for Christmas, but I might just have to test tonight. Need to make sure it is good enough
