I know some people have already mentioned thrush as a possible cause of problems but in case it's not that, if it is speed of milk flow, you could try different positions. I found (when she was little) that if I fed Alice sitting upright on my knee facing me that the milk flow was too fast for her and milk would end up everywhere. Different positions work better for different people so it's worth trying out different positions to see if any are better. The other thing is that if it is better on one side than the other (and it is flow which is the problem) then just feeding on the one side *may* help as there would be more milk coming from the one breast which if that is the problem could be why he is favouring that side int he first place. (Although of course if flow speed is not the problem all of what I just said is completely irrelevent and should be ignored.) There is a country where it is traditional for people to only feed from one breast (can't remember which one) so it is possible although obviously the ideal is to use both.Hey all, i haven't had a chance to catch up, i'm really sorry, we're having a horrible couple of days. I wanted some help and some advice and damn good hug really because Austins feeding is getting worse and worse....
I was just thinking today that my worst nightmare would be for my mum to find me on here. There are certain boards I never post on because I know she reads them.oh no!! my auntie has become a fan of martin lewis on FB and asked me if i use this forum cos she saw that i became a fan, so i think she probably does too!! noooo i dont want IRL people seeing my posts argh!!
I haven't really *needed* to since night feeds ended at nine weeks but I still wear mine because I'm usually still in my pyjamas for the morning feed and the bra covering the other side protects it from wandering hands.got-it-spend-it wrote: »At what point do BF-ing mummies not need to wear a nursning bra at night then? I hate wearing underwear on bed, so my sexy combo of BF bra, big granny pants and anti-embolism stockings is not really working for me at the moment :rotfl:.
