Awww Caz what a horrible situation for you to be in, I kow you don't want to give up work, but do you think it might be easier all round if you did...firstly you would get support anyway...plus it would be so much less stressful than relying on him to turn up on time etc so you can go to work...plus it would allow him the freedom to find work, you never know maybe he is suffering depression through not working and once he has found a job and realised how much he misses you all he might come bounding back full of apologies. The other thing is a split of parents is a major thing to happen to kids, maybe you should be there for them instead of working??

These are all just my opinions and I really am only thinking of you and the kids, I just don't think any job is worth makingyour life unneccesarily complicated for!!

P.S don't use that benefits board they are evil over there:(

On the other hand, on her own with 5 kids she may become isolated quite quickly with no outside distractions.
Its not the job she wants to keep its the feeling that everyday she is achieving something, having a little something extra to get up for and having a little independance. Not just a mummy 24/7.
I know from reading some of her posts that she does enjoy her job and she does it well too.

I agree benefit board is evil!

It's asking for a code, which I don't have so I have to pay full price. However, it does say that I can call them if the leaflet was missing (which it totally was by the way :D)

Will try later to open a new account.

Caz - I think you would be better off financially not working...as stupid as that situation is! Also he would be better off living somewhere else too as you would both get individual money....me and dh have often said we would be far better off financially if he moved out and I claimed benefits for me and the kids. The rules are silly. If he moved out he will only be able to get JSA but then of course you can't really rely on him to be there when you need him to for your working hours as he will be pressured into finding work himself!

I think you need to number crunch honey and find out if it is actually worthwile working!

I think most of the folk who reply to posts over there do so just to troll. Or they are really very thick not knowing that people on benefits will actually ask questions. Is it just me or has MSE gotten very nasty recently?
