    Enjoy your trip AF!

I made pasta with veg and cream sauce for dinner this evening. I made three portions so there'd be one for Mum, one for me and one in a Tupperware container to bring to Husband tomorrow (the hospital brings round a sandwich at 6 and that's it till 8am the following morning). I just went into the kitchen to find it ... nowhere. Not in the fridge, not on the counter. Asked mother and she's thrown it away. An entire serving of pasta, purely because I didn't specifically say to keep it. I asked her where it was because I thought she might have eaten it, but it's in the flucking bin!

And I can't tell her I'm annoyed because she takes that kind of thing very personally and gets upset. We were in the hotel room in Paris and the maid brought in the cot and sheets for it. Mum took the sheets and told the maid, in English, that she'd make up the crib. The maid didn't understand so she pantomimed it. Once the maid was gone, she started in on unfolding the (full-adult-sized) sheet, and I said, Do you think you could...

She snapped my head off, telling me not to tell her off for not speaking in French. I was only going to suggest that she fold the sheet in half to make it easier to work with rather than simply stuff all the edges down under the mattress making it lumpy and sore on Her Molliness.
    Grr.

oh tyical! my OH decided to put on the landing and bathroom light and bang around the bathroom the other morning at 6:30am about 10 seconds after I'd FINALLY got Ed to go down after an hour of grumping  and I can't shut our bedroom door because OH has some kind of disability that prevents him from hanging a door properly :p seriously not one of our internal doors works properly :rotfl:
