It takes three Ikea cheap fleeces overlapped to cover our sofa. Which means (because I'm too lazy to sew them together) that they keep moving, and every morning I have to put them straight again. :rolleyes:angelfairy wrote: »what have i missed??? i was thinking a blanket, but then they are supplied on a plane. although thinking, she might need one in the airport.
sorry for the mammoth boring post, but if anyone has a free spare four weeks and wants to do the journey with me, then you're more than welcome
I'd offer ... but we'd need twice as much, as I'd have to bring Andrew! :rotfl: PS - think you will need blanket for the airport. Plus airplane blankets not always very nice.anyone looking for christmas outfit http://www.allfancydress.com/Fancy-Dress-Costume/15400/Santa-Baby.aspx

Ugh, must be something in the air! OH and I rowed last night too... we made up before bedtime though.
We fought over nothing really, because we were so stressed by Elijah's unwillingness to sleep (and willingness to scream and sob constantly instead).
It's becoming more and more clear that his reflux symptoms are on the up again - we've convinced ourselves now that that's the reason for his bad sleeping recently after he had a patch where he really was sleeping through. he has 'bile-smelling' burps often, he coughs in his sleep, he has thrown up a few times unepectedly, and every time he is lowered to horizontal for sleep he kicks off. so will book GP appointment this week to get a paediatrician referral againand we're excluding lots of 'bad for reflux' foods from his diet from today.
He woke at 3ish, 30 mins comforting did no good, eventually after BF he cried a bit more then went down. On the upside he slept through til 7.40, which is very unusual for him.
Poor early-morning Weezlmust be very frustrating. Insomnia is one thing OH didn't suffer from in pregnancy! I hope at least chocs and tiramisu were nice even if it was an early night!
Hope OHs are suitably conciliatory this morning - given people probably won't be going out much in this weather! I was on track for farmers' market but it will have been blown away and my baby would drown!0 -
AF - will you be able to log on occasionally ot post on facebook once in a while? Four weeks is a long time and I'll miss you terribly and worry about you.
Elle - hope things are okay with you and OH today.

Morning,
Had a good night out last night and Caitlin was good for my sis and her BF. Caitlin slept till 5:50 but mummy and daddy were still tired so mummy gave Caitlin her dummy and everyone went back to sleep until 7am.
Felt sorry for my sister's BF...he had to get up at 4am for work. We got in at 11pm but they stayed for another half an hour chatting. Bet he only had 4 hours sleep max.
Gonna read back now...0 -

Wow, flying dog
OH would've been the same as Zoe! Getting her to sleep knowing there was a two inch spider lurking in the rafters would be impossible!0 -

Went to Lumiere in Durham last night. It's a festival of lights.
Bairns really enjoyed it. The Cathedral looked beautiful all lit up, and they projected pictures on the side of things like St Cuthbert and the Lindesfarne gospels with spiritual music.
Inside the nave of the Cathedral was dark with just the high alter lit up and some pendulum lights swining above the aisle. Eerie music played and the light bounced off the carved pillars. It was very surreal walking through.
The cloisters were full of lights on sticks that went on and off and made noises as you ran your hands through them. Charlotte liked that bit best.
We had a quick look in Silver Street and over the bridge at the river, but it was throwing it down with rain by then so we decided to call it a night. There was more stuff at the Gala theatre and other places that we didn't get to.
Really enjoyed itHere I go again on my own....0 -
Wow Becles, that sounds really lovely
I am jealous!
We went to a sort of festival of lights in Brighton last year when Elijah was rather little, it's a winter solstice thing called 'The Burning of the Clocks' and it focuses on elaborate paper lanterns and a parade which ends in burning them on the beach. Very very pretty although the seething mass at the beach scared us off with a tiny baby!0
