My news (while the boys fight and scream upstairs)...

SALT was out. He has assessed Christopher and the speech and language unit is not right for him because he has very good understanding of language, his problems are physical, the muscles in the mouth don't work properly and after him dropping hints that this may not ever get better, I put him out his misery by saying that I am very much aware that this may be as good as Christopher will ever be with speech, and that like everything else, we will get by. :D He was very impressed with how easily I understand him, Christopher babbled something as he came in, Chris and I having a full conversation, SALT not having a clue what he was saying! Well I am a Christopherologist after all :D

Again the problem of colour recognition came up. He can match colours but can't identify colours. Well, he can, sometimes ( we play a game spot the car, yellow cars get a grrr, blue a yay, green a wow etc) it's hard to explain, he can identify certain things and what colour they are, but not the colour itself? That and numbers, before and after, how many dogs etc. I can't describe it all.

So a new option of a support learning unit that will encompass everything has been talked about. Now to plant the idea into DH's head.

Off to research colour and number problems. :D

MFD - I hope you were ok back at work yesterday (have I got this right??)

Kai has been up on his knes rocking like a loony for a while bow and sort of shuffling forward both knees together just recently. I picked him up from nursery and they said he crawled properly:)&:( I am a bit gutted I missed it, I tried to get him to do it when we got in but he was shattered so wouldn't comply...

I had a great day thanks Mel, Benjamin loved it with the CM too. A bit of a drama when I got home (Weezl says my hubby is a willy head ;)) but a suitable amount of grovelling has been done!

I told my CM not to tell me if Benjamin does any of his 'firsts' whilst he is there. I know I am kidding myself but I am happy to live in ignorance!!

When do people start going to mother and baby groups? I've seen one on my way to the supermarket but can't find out much about it on the web apart from that it is on Thursday mornings - not sure about the time - and is for babies upto 1 year old. I also want to look into baby massage but they all seem to be 5 week courses and I've missed the start of them so may have to wait until January.

Have you got a local sure start centre? That is where I started. I first went when Benjamin was 3 weeks :D

forgot to say earlier, but when Kian was being weighed he only went and did a big massive wee!!!
    luckily he was naked!!
had to have a bath though when he came home as even though he was all dry i didnt like the idea of him being covered in wee....

I am not offended at all...but I won't be telling my hubby what you called him ;)

Tonight I am preparing for a meeting in the morning that I got thrown at me at the last minute (not supposed to be working tomorrow). I don't much mind though because it will count as an extra day I get off at Christmas. The meeting doesn't start til 10 and will be done by 12 but, along with a couple of hours tonight and tomorrow which I would have done anyway I can make it stretch to a full shift ;)

What time is your scan tomorrow hun?

I'm very excited about the candy canes:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T thank you for thinking of me!

If you make the saltdough decorations with zoe, prepare her for quite a wait before they're ready. I made mine on saturday and they're still wet!

Enjoy your cuppa and Gok
