Thanks for the recipe Caz - it sounds wonderful. Most of my family's diabetic so I can't make them for family ... but I may make them for friends next year as well as littler-than-usual gifts :T
Tesco glitch caused me to accidentally buy three toys (Fisher Price turtle, V-tech walker and I-can't-believe-it's-not-Lamaze octopus), plus the Littlewoods £25 code got me a Lamaze caterpillar and the FP cookie jar toy for £6.95. has anyone got recommendations for fitness dvd's? I want some for christmas to get fitter, lose weight and tone up some seriously flabby bits but don't know which to start with. I'm so unfit I know there is no point getting a really intense work out (read killing yourself workout one) straight away as I'll give up before I've started!!:heart2: Charlie born Aug 2007 :heart2: Reece born May 2009

Hi all - new mum here Tegan is now 5 days old and I am really struggling with breast feeding. Especially at night when I am tired.
I'm not sure if it is my technique or the fact I have large breasts (34J)? can anyone give me some tips. I just can't get her to latch on properly she either just takes in the nipple or has her hands in the way or seems to latch on then loosens her hold until there is only the nipple in her mouth. I feel so bad keeping taking her off. she hates me moving her hands and when I put my hand behind her neck.
I am feeling like I am failing her and end up crying everytime I feed her. I end up just letting her feed on my nipple to make sure that she gets something. Which I know is not good. The MW seems happy with my breastfeeding when they watch but I will tell them when they call tomorrow that I am really struggling. I know there are helplines and support groups but I just can'tdo anything without crying and feel stupid.
Has anyone else felt like this? Does it get easier? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
As others have said, have a try with different positions, what works for one doesn't always work for someone else... A lot of us larger ladies prefer to feed lying down or rugby ball style... Supporting your breast can help prevent baby slipping off, and avoid holding the back of baby's head, aim to support her shoulders instead... Have a look at https://www.kellymom.com, there's plenty of information in there... And do ring the number in my signature... All the ladies on the phone line have to have breastfed their own babies before they can start the training, we've all been there! Even after training and breastfeeding one for 3 years, my second baby was a nightmare to feed in the first few weeks but she got there in the end... Tegan (as well as you) has to learn what she's got to do and it isn't going to come over night... Don't feel you've let her down, you are doing brilliantly!

Today is my last day of freedomnot that I have had much freedom whilst on ML what with one thing and another.
I woke up this morning thinking about work (and wishing I had said no that last glass of wine!!) and have been sat here dilligently making notes for my meeting tomorrow morning for about an hour now....
...which means the baby has slept for over an hour :T yesterday must have wiped him out!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls...
