ETA: Oh great, and now me  Not even as if we've got a baby to entertain, he's zonked out!

LOL - nice to see OH's getting stuck in and festive! Mine went as far as buying a tree and getting the decs down from the loft!

Tinsel is banned from my house! I hate the stuff and there is no way I would let it near my tree :p

Baby asleep, I'm ironing - Merry Christmas MFD

I've calmed down now OH has fed me. Salmon and cream cheese sarnies. Nomnom.

Last night was good! I was drunk before the food came because I get nervous at those kinda fancy places! The food was pretty rubbish, the tomato soup tasted like tesco value tomato soup (and I should know cause It's what I buy!) and the main meal was turkey dinner, but as far as I know, turkey doesn't come sliced up like boil in the bag meat! The veg was under cooked. I had fun feeding OH's friend Chris my hard brussels, he's a gannet and will eat anything!

The puddin was Xmas pud, and I just squashed all mine up and it's like glue! Wouldn't move off the plate :rotfl:

We were going to head into town afterwards but it was sooooo icy, I was beyond drunk, and wearing big heels. That was just askin for a broken leg!

Oh yeah, that was what I was going to ask.... when you do an online grocery shop, do you have to have the money in the bank on the day you place the order or is it ok to place it and have delivery for a day that there is money in the bank? I hope that makes sense!

Tree done, complete with presents underneath! Pics later :)

AM, I thought it was the day you placed the order because they (Tesco) sort of reserve the full amount (so your available balance will go down by the whole amount) then charge you what it costs when they select and deliver it all after the offers have been worked out, so they don't actually take all they've reserved, iyswim  There'll be a thread about it on the Food Shopping board somewhere.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
When you buy with credit card, they definitely only charge the card on the day of delivery, can be at your limit/etc at the time of ordering.
