Morning all :) Rhys woke himself - and us - up coughing this morning :(

Weezl, I agree with SS on fairy post rules. I send things I have no use for that I've either aquired along the way or didn't pay out enough for that I'm thinking I ought to recoup on eBay - things that if I didn't send it on would just be sitting in a box (and I have far too many boxes here already! ;)). I'm just glad to be able to help, don't expect a huge fanfare of thanks, just to know it's got there safe is enough :) Which reminds me, I have something for you, chopsticks, Sami and pookie to sort out and send - just stating names so you know I haven't forgotten (or have at least re-remembered!) :o

Weezlie, as far as I'm concerned the rules of the fairy post are that you offer what you can afford to send and send it, if you receive it you thank the sender, and you bask in the glow of something you've used going to a baby you "know", IYKWIM. I've spent a fair amount on fairy post with things going out from Germany but I think the stuff we've been sent (thank you lovely people who sent it) plus being pleased that our unused stuff is going to good use evens it all out
I hope other people feel the same way - we've received some lovely stuff and I hope nobody feels taken advantage of :o

Thank you, that fits with what I thought/hoped :)

Sorry I haven't sent as much stuff as others have, I do love you all very much though!

MFD, following on from what SS says, the only problem thing I know of with seperation anxiety is how your child responds after you have returned to soothe them. Secure attached children will cry a little and then allow themself to be comforted by mummy and then all goes back to normal. I think you would definately notice if gingerman had either of the other 2 reponses. If you're more interested, then a quick google of Mary Ainsworth and her studies on infant atttachment and the 'strange situation' experiment are interesting :)

    WE GOT SNOW !!!!!!!!!!!

This was my back garden this morning

I love it !! We are going to build a snowman later !!

As for fairy post, I have sent far more than I have received but that really doesnt bother me at all. I see it that you send something you do not mind being parted with and someone else could make use of, and that you can afford to be parted with. If it is going to be slightly more expensive to send then I assume most of us have pay pal and I see no problem at all in asking for postage coverage so the sender is not out of pocket, but the recipient is still getting something they need at the price of postage instead of buying at full price.

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely day :)

OMG, I so want a bacon pitta!!!! Thanks SM:p

Tara - On the presents front, my mum spends between £10-£20 on all of us, now we are all older....well I have a feeling she spends more on my younger brother and sister:rolleyes: but I would honestly rather she spent her money on my kids then on me. The best part of christmas, for me, is watching the kids open their presents and seeing their excited faces:D I hope you get a resolution regarding dd2 being on her own christmas morning...I think someone suggested it, but couldn't she stay over with you christmas eve?

    Mel x

No you are not !!! :o The thing with having an older one, and a nephew who is 1 1/2 is that I have pretty much everything you could ever need for Dylan and Jasmine is far too spoilt for words and my parents wouldnt let her want for anything as she is the only granddaughter and was the only grandchild till my nephew was born last year !! (not on chris' side, but on mine)
I do not expect anything back from people, if I did, I would sell the stuff instead !!

Weezl - forgot to say, regarding fairy post...I haven't actually sent anything (although I did offer something the other day) But I haven't received anything either, because I know I haven't got much to send really and my fairies are a bit poor at the moment, so I haven't wanted to accept anything as I am worried about not being able to reciprocate.

    If that makes sense:)
