William is a lovely name and in my family too. Would people possibly call him Will, Bill or Billy?!
xx
My mum always picked names for us which couldnt be shortened although technically Harry is the 'shortened' version of Henry...
Sami - Oh didnt like Enos or Ethan which were my Grandads brothers names... he was called Edgar:D !!
Guess Joseph is too obvious for this time of year as well.... my trouble is when I see some names I just remember either some awful kid I went to school with or someone we know has children with the same nameAh well one more look through the books, draw up a list and then if in doubt we'll pull out of a hat :rotfl:
