Aaaaaa was just heading out to the supermarket and loading the car with bags and Elijah, slipped on a patch of ice and fell over and also dropped him :(

He was wildly upset but doesn't seem to have any injuries that we can see :/ fell flat onto his back and backside from about 3' maybe, didn't hit his head, no marks. But ugh scary.

Oh Bruno, how upsetting for both of you. Hope you are both okay, extra cuddles throughout the day should sort it :)

Hubby and Benjamin made it through the night with a 3am wakeup for about 30 mins :T hubby also got Benajmin to the CM on time and dressed in his santa suit!

I have a headache and am praying that the day passes quickly so I can get home to my baby.

    Morning ladies :D

We're now missing singing. Little lady won't wake up, I've been in the wardrobe, I've run water, I've held and stroked her hand, I've opened and closed the drawers shes sleeping on and she is still up there sucking her thumb and snoozing on. We are supposed to be singing in 15 mins a good 8 min walk away. No chance now and its the last one. I was looking forward to taking her down in the Kari-me, can you tell its my new obsession? Though I'm wondering if it might be too cold for that? what do you dress them in when they are in it and getting your body heat. Just had her in a fleece coat, cardi t-shirt and vest last week and she was really toasty. Was that too much? Oh its all so scary and all the book says is not to let her overheat... well, I know that I just don't know how much heat the layers of the wrap create.

Oooh, I'm in full chat mode this morning. I'll shut up when she wakes, promise.

  • SS - what a nightmare! It is beyond me that a grandmother would put a dog before her grandchild

I am so pleased - yesterday I managed to find a christmas stocking for Benjamin that matches DSS's :D I am incredibly anal about some things and it was playing on my mind that the boys would have different stockings :o

Now I need some stuff to fill it with

Me too MFD, especially because the dog is known to jump and snap, has toys the size of Molly and has never met a child. I'm tentatively ok with having him in the same house -- so long as he is never, ever in the same room. It really is the clear preference for the dog to the extent of dismissing our concerns for Molly's safety that bothers me, because I know it's related to Brother's feelings. I can understand her taking his side in the heat of the moment, but the following day she was still adamant that I was wrong and he was right, and I find that unspeakable. I'm ok with Molly having Christmas at their house, so long as the dog is not in the room, but next Christmas and for future years we will not be travelling there, and I'm collecting all of our stuff from their place in case things get sourer.

Harley, Molly goes out in long-sleeved vest, shirt, trousers, fleecey bear suit, hat and Baby Bjorn, but I think it's colder here than there. Poke your finger down into the corner where her neck meets her shoulder - if she's warm there then she's warm enough :)

Harley, this week Henry's been wearing a vest, trousers, long sleeve t-shirt and a fleecey jacket plus a hat when he's been in the cling. Seems to be about right in this weather.

Jillie- big hugs for you. It must be so hard at this time of year.

SS- no advice on your family PITA but some hugs for you too as I would be at my wits end if I was you.

SM- ours are under the tree now, but we have no little hands trying to feel them so they are safe!

Ooh, ooh, ohh, we have snow here on the South coast- proper big flakes and a gentle white covering on everything.
