Ah Krystal, hope my post didn't come across wrong. It's just when I read (serial lurker that I am) about Glam's Jack and Jillies Kian sleeping through at the same age as Charly, I sometimes feel I'm doing something wrong. It's just comforting to know I'm not alone :o xxx

    Hugs to all xxx

aw sorry hun. The HV agreed today that I have a particularly sleepy baby as he sleeps for around 5hrs during the day as well as 10 hours at night.

Although Jack does sleep through some nights he also has nights where he doesn't due to sore gums or jabs or OH bouncing off the walls when he goes to the loo in the night

And even though he does sleep through he still needs me to get him off to sleep and I even leave him down with us until after his dream feed :o I swear that after Christmas I will start getting him to go off on his own upstairs, then in cot on his own.

Actually, tonight I put him in his Mosey down here and he dropped off on his own but not until gone 9pm. Film just got a bit noisy so he's a bit restless now but will do DF upstairs in 10mins.

Made the mistake of doing it at 10.30pm last night so he woke at 6am instead of 6.30am.

Right off to heat up the bottle and then feed him. Night everyone (again!)

    Hi Jillie

She is in a wooden crib at the side of our bed. She was relatively good until two weeks ago - she even slept through once or twice and so I hoped it would continue - obviously not! Just gotta hope she grows out of it eventually  (need a fingers crossed smiley).

We don't use soothers cos she won't take them- believe me we have tried - along with a bottle. Supposed to be going seeing the Pet Shop Boys on Sunday (OH's Xmas pressie) but not sure if we can as if she wakes and I'm not there and she won't take a bottle, she'll just cry and cry. Ma and Pa will babysit and will have to come and collect us early if she wakes. Just gonna play it by ear and see what we think on the day. Will be a not very MSE waste of £66 if we don't go. Got the tickets when I was pg and had no idea she might not take a bottle - how naieve (sp) was I????:rotfl:

  • Glad Benjamin is settled now...

Baby is sleeping, I've wrapped my bra round the cot bars, you never know... I'm off to sleep anyway, night all xx

Glad Caitlyn is sleeping too. Am silent LOL'ing about the size of your bra...I am guessing that you don't mean the WHOLE WAY around the cot :rotfl:

Praying for some better sleep for us both.

Sorry if I have ignored everyone. I am a cow - simples ;)

What's this dream feeding i keep seeing you lot mention? Do you feed baby before they've grumbled for food, while they're asleep? Or what? Never heard of it :p

:rotfl:I balance my fleecy dressing gown top that I wear when I feed her on the bars at the head of Charly's crib in the same hope :rotfl:She seems to sleep 8 til 11 (just waiting for her to wake now) and then that is it til 5am when OH gets up for work and I bring her into bed with me so its easier to get her back off

ETA Glam - don't be sorry - make the most of it!!!

Scruffy - can you use a cup at three months? I'd assumed they'd choke? Have tried 4 different bottles and a three month cup with a valve thing on and she wouldn't take any of them. Might have to try a cup then...Mum would be happy to take her time if it got the milk in her. Thank you xxx

    Well done Sami :T

Im happy with the price, when I priced it up it brand new it was costing well over £400 for all the bits included. I bought the jane powertwin for £380 and selling at £300 so im only putting £40 to this one and it is practically new. :T
I'm actually really happy at that, hopefully means I can get most of the money back when I sell it ;)
I only paid about £5 less than you not including your postage so you have done well!
sami, do you know anyone that works in Asda or similar, as they could get (aquire) the strong cling wrap stuff that they wrap round cages etc!!! Not sure if you know the stuff I mean but that is stronger than normal cling!!
hmm Hubby might use shrink wrap at work for when they send stuff out, will ask him!
    Oh dear, Edgar again?

Expensive bag though! Don't suppose there are any universal covers that would fit it? You could try with the cling film but I'm not sure it would be robust enough? (and the fairies say you're welcome, but they want to see the end result :))

Christopher  he's been off food for a few days, had 1 weetabix this morning, no lunch, a few chips and 1 small petit fillous sized yoghurt for tea then some blueberry rice cakes after, possibly ruined my top and his PJs with purple sick _pale_ it STINKS
I'll take a pic of the finished product :) and I'm gonna have a play with the pram, I know the handle comes off but not sure if it involves tools or not, maybe a kitchen roll tube would cover it... ooh blue peter esq wrapping!
