Sounds like your girls have everything worked out for you Motm!
Me and Keira are watching Enchanted, the poor thing can't sleep with coughing, and sneezing. I feel like I should keep her off nursery tomorrow if no improvement but it's her concert tomorrow and she wants to sing in front of everyone. Not sure what to do.
Oh yes, boringSour Cream or Salt & Vinegar are the way to go. Once had some Beef Burger flavour? Didn't taste any different to normal beef crisps.
Oh yes, they have
Are you able to go to the concert and observe? Best of luck with it!
I've got either a long walk or a first trip on a cardiff bus with a buggy today, and can't figure out which is worse! If the bus has a steep step getting on do you kind of tip the whole thing backwards til their front wheels go on the step and then do a big heave/push?
I'm being super daft but I can't quite picture it
motm, about the girls accelerating things and you feeling worried that you're making them sad by slowing it down, I just wanted to say that I would really support you in slowing it down, and feeling that it's better that they have a small short term pang of 'oh, Lucy is more of a pal than a new mummy' rather than attaching all that 'lost mummy' love to her and then discovering that it won't/can't be for some reason.
I don't think I've expressed that very well, sorry
That's just my stuff though. As I said I'm very cautious about love. My DH told me he loved me after 2 weeks (by accident) and I waited 16 months before being able to say 'me too' :rotfl::o
It's just they've lost such a lot, and I don't want them (or you:)) to lose again.
I'll butt out now.
xxx
Best the bus and save your legs maybe? As parents of ones so young, rest is very important.
I have been thinking about this all night and all day. I'm going to have a word with the girls after school and re-iterate she's a new friend for them and not a Mummy and that it's better to have a new friend than a new Mummy cos Mummies suck (I mean their Mummies, not in general) and that Lucy needs looking after too.
You expressed that view very well and it's very much appreciated
I'm not very good with the whole love thing either. You'll notice I always look for what's best for the girls. I feel uncomfortable too, more with the thoughts of it going wrong, again mainly for the girls sake. Once we get the first time of this, that and the other out of the way, i'll feel better. Fortunately Lucy isn't in your face, so i'm not having to say things i'm not ready too.
Did your OH say anything about waiting 16 months?
Don't butt out I wouldn't post if I didn't appreciate your replies :T
But wanted to say YEAY to MOTM. I am thrilled for you, though I'm inclined to agree that if you feel you should slow it down then you should. But make sure that everyone knows that you are just slowing down not working your way up to finishing with her. Great that things are looking so bright for you though.
Got Boobie group this morning then reconnecting with an old friend for coffee at lunch time. Finally get a free day tomorrow then got work Christmas lunch on Friday.
Hi Harley, nice to see you :T
Yes, this is all about wording isn't it? So i'll start with positive and go from there. I'm more worried about girls reaction than Lucy's because she is an adult and I can explain things better and I know she understands already about things.
Hope your coffee with old friend is going well/has gone well.
Work Christmas lunch. Oh, how nice :cool:0 -
I've just kept her off, her eyes are red puffy and leaking. She just isn't well, and being a right whingy moan in the process too!
Ah well see Em, the kitten loves water too, but when you are spraying them in the face or bumhole, they tend not to like it V much
I really should go and attempt to clean this place, feeling tired, broken sleep is rubbish, though I feel bad for moaning about that as a lot of you ladies have it a lot. I can't function well with no kip0 -
I never thought that! Sorry if my post seemed that way at all. We are here for any moans or rants anyone has
me included
Oh god no! I didn't mean to imply that anyone was saying I moan all the time...I just feel that way myself:o
It's all I do irl too, I end up ranting about things all day long...I am just very tense/stressed lately and could really do with a loving, caring, capable husband who is willing to take some of the pressure off me a bit and help out a bit more around the house and with the kids:rolleyes: OR one who is at least capable of looking after the family financially so I can focus on the house and kids instead of being forced to manage everything:mad:Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

can i stick mine in wiv him;) ha, ive no advice about the eating cos jake was the same, HV made out it was psychological?? he wouldnt only eat the dry cereal/baby rice type thing, whenever he had real food he would throw up afterwards, he's still really fussy with food now and doesnt have much of an appetite if im honest, its not very often he says he's hungry. thank god jasmine eats well though!!
i put baby clothes in the tumble dryer, or should i say i did until it broke!! just didnt put anythin wool in there,
x0 -
Well done MOTM - hope things work out for you and Lucy.
Thank You. Nice to see you posting :TMOTM that's a bit fast even for me :rotfl: Maybe you should tell the girls to relax a bit?
I think all 8 inclusive of Lucy need to relax a bit. She's text me numerous times on her break today asking if everything is still okay and okay for her to come around and bring some of her things etc. I'm far from confident about many things, but she's expecting me to change my mind. That's why I have to be careful.
I meant to ask before, are you from Germany or do you just like German food?money_maker wrote: »Mornin all
Had a good night here, Dylan managed to keep down 3 half bottles so that is a great improvement.
Do keep us all updated and all of our best wishes are with you :cool:0 -
Keira doesn't eat very well either, she exists of fish fingers, scrambled eggs, toast, fruit and yoghurt. Sure it's balanced.....bit of protein, carbs, fruit, dairy....just missing the veg!!
Normally I do send her in when she is unwell JM, shes had a cold before and put her to nursery as all the other kids have it, but she seems really lethargic, pale and sickly. Better not get diapoopoo and vomit, because diawoowoo freaks her out "WHERES MY POOPY GONE?!!"0 -
Yep you can stick him JM if you want to;)
Ds2 was the same but I don't think I noticed as much because I has ds1 to focus on too, and ds2 still eats barely anything......I jump up and run out to the kitchen if he ever says he is hungry, it is sooo rare. ds1 on the other hand doesn't stop eating. He gets in from school and will eat a sandwich, an apple, a packet of crisps before dinner...he will then eat a large dinner and also have two.three pieces of toast for supper!!!!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
