Well done everyone who's got a good result this week whether that's a loss, STS or a less-than-expected gain!
Hi to the new joiners!Good luck with working towards your targets.
I'm still a couple of lb over the midpoint of my maintain range, but my body doesn't seem to want to part with it! :rotfl: I've decided to concentrate on STS instead for now (not changing my eating plan at all, just my mindset). Partly this is because I saw myself in the studio mirrors at an exercise class yesterday, and I was surprised how thin I looked - are these mirrors deliberately 'slimming' to make everyone feel good?!0 -
that sounds lovely Missy , I looked in the mirror today and couldnt get over how disgusting I look
. I have just put a chicken in the oven for lunch , but what can I have with it ? I thought of making a tomato base curry . But I cant have brown rice with it on phase one can I ?
gosh this is gonna be hard , but I am soooo desperate .
I just had a coffee Black with no sugar , wish I could stick a sweetner in it.Kindness costs nothing0 -
Not good this week. After STS for several weeks at 75.6 kg, today it's 76.2 kg.
Not good news.
However, I am fitting into size 16 clothes, many many years since that was possible! We were away at the weekend for the English Democrats' Spring Conference, which involved sitting in the car for a long time there and back, and sitting in conference all day Saturday. BBC News actually deigned to put in an appearance, would you believe - first time they've ever done that.
Back to aqua-aerobics Mondays and a new half-term of swimming lessons on Tuesday. My legs feel quite stiff and achey, probably from doing a lot of kicking. I know that the muscles retain water after exercise and that is an illusory 'weight gain'. So I'm not too worried.
I wore my new posh frock on Saturday evening for Conference Dinner. Size 16!!

I want to get started today ...
so can anyone tell me what I am allowed for the first 5 days please ?
At risk or breaching copyright, here goes! Phase 1 goes back to basics and assumes you have at least one food intolerance. So this phase is designed to destroy whatever is causing the intolerance:-- Meat - eat as much as you want of pure, unprocessed fresh meat (not smoked). Nothing from tins or packets as these tend to have preservatives and sugars in them. Cook in olive oil or butter
- Fish - eat as much as you like of pure, unprocessed fresh fish (not smoked) (again, nothing tinned). Cook in olive oil or butter
- Eggs - eat freely
- Tofu - eat freely so long as it doesn't contain added ingedients
- Salad & veg - eat freely except for potatoes and mushrooms
- Brown rice - max 50g (dry weight) per day
- Natural Live Yoghurt - eat freely
- Drinks - only water (plain or fizzy), herbal tea, decaf coffee or tea (no milk)
- NO alcohol, fruit drinks/juices, low-cal drinks, canned drinks, caffeine or milk
- NO cheese, fruit, wheat or grains, white rice or pasta, sugar, cakes, biscuits, sweets, pickled or processed foods

I think that about the window on my kitchen door! Somehow my reflection in there always looks slimmer than in a regular mirror!!£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

On Phase 1 you can have brown rice with anything (max 50g per day) - its only after that you have to be more selective
And your coffee needs to be decaf!!£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

ahhh thanks for that , I am determined to do the 5 days cos I am feeling so fed up with my looks. The coffee I had was decaff cos I get migraines with caffiene.:D . And as I had porridge with water this morning I thought I better not have any other carbs today.
I think for lunch I will have the chicken fried in butter ( is that ok ?)
with eggs and salad leaves.Kindness costs nothing0 -
Mirry Yes your plans for lunch are spot on! well done :T Though I'm afraid you are going to have to get used to no more sweetner in your coffee....
Had a bit of a c*ck-up over dinner last night: I roasted some chicken quarters to feed OH, DD and myself and did chips, baked beans and mushrooms for them, forgetting to do any veg for me! Ended up with roast chicken & salad leaves - on a warm plate! Ergh!£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250
