Some companies choose the wording in-store or on their packaging very carefully. For example:-
If they claim their products are not tested on animals that can mean that the ingredients of the products are tested on animals.
If they claim they do not test products or ingredients on animals that can mean that someone on their behalf does.
I alwyas check the BUAV booklet or any alterantive company that has the welfare of animals at the centre of its operations.
Hope this helps

Any chemical which is released for public use (i.e. anything in your shampoo) has to undergo strict safety tests to ensure it is not dangerous to human health. The vast majority of bathromm products have chemicals in them which were developed so long ago when no one really gave a damn about animal testing. Therefore pretty much any of the body shop or what ever the replacement "ethical" brand products would have had their constituents tested at some point on animals.0

Not quite true if using food state ingredients they will never had to be tested on animals.Bronners soap consists of hemp oil, coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil tea tree oil.NO methylpapraben, parabens mineral oil foaming ingredients or any other uneccessary items.
The reason the recipie uses the centuaries old technique of saponifacation to make soap.
Most bar soaps use Tallowate which is animal fat and an alkali they need all the preservatives (chemicals) and false perfumes to stop the "lard" which it is effectively going off.
Pears soap is naturally made.
Real soap made with natural olive, palm oils etc should need little or no preservative. Are U getting enough Vitamin D in your life!?0 -

I've been buying Body Shop hair products since I was a teenager. I will be buying them from Lush from now on. I'm using up some shampoo of my husband's at the moment, but I've already got a sore scalp. It's going to take a while to find the right product.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
