Here's a link somewhere to the stores participating on Fri.

It certainly isnt all of them as my two nearest arent on the list so I wont be going.

    Hope this helps.

I don't think this list is right, it seems to be exactly the same as the list of stores taking part in the preview event today.

I called my local store, Accrington, today, and they confirmed that they are definitely doing the bazaar from 8.30am on Friday. I think it is worth checking with your local stores before you write it off.

  • When open to the public, are the items scattered around the store in each dept or is it all in one place?
    Thanks

Just got back from M&S, there were only a few people there so no queing:D I got a teatowel, notebook, jigsaw puzzle, socks and a money box as well as the booklet of vouchers which will come in handy. They also had keyrings, chocolates, yule logs, ties, hankerchiefs and mugs. There was some crisps, wine and OJ at the end of the display as well, and the collection buckets on your way out. I didn't go along to last years one so i was pleasantly surprised at what was on offer.

Firstly a quick one to whoever mentioned the bag thing - the bags behind the clothing sections are specifically for clothing, if you take food there you can of course out it in a bag with clothing but you wont get given a free bag for food.
Where i work if someone brings clothing to the food tills they get a free clothing bag.
The girl was right giving you the small bag as you asked for a free one and the only free ones are sandwich bags, other than that its 5p a carrier or 9p for a bag for life.

Secondly i dont know why so many people have hijacked the thread and turned it into a disabled arguement thingy but i must say all my local buses have a 'buggy zone', whereas some buses have a 'wheel chair space' either way i dont think it should be exclusive.

However people are right to say disabled people cant get out and fold there wheelchair up, but the majority of prams can be folded.
It makes me laugh to myself when the buggy zone is full and then another woman tries to get on with another pushchair, im only 24 and clearly remember the days when there was no taking a pram on a bus unless you folded it up and put it in the luggage thing, these mums today want to be thankful they can just wheel on and off!

Anyway, back to topic, there is likely to be queues long before the shops open, and to be honest the items arent amazing so i dont see what all the fuss is about anyway lol!

  • Hi can you buy the items online and still get free delivery this would be fab
  • Don't get too excited, particularly if it's a big store you've been invited to. My invitation, based on my having an &more card, was for 3pm to 5pm today (Wednesday 11th). I was in the Kingston upon Thames store earlier today, and thought I'd check it out where the 'Bazaar' was, and it didn't look too busy. When I returned at 3pm, I discovered a long queue leading out of the store, and down the covered arcade at the side of the store. I was told by a staff member that it would take about 45 minutes to move from that point in the queue to reach the Bazaar area. I wasn't prepared to wait particularly as I do not feel comfortable standing for long periods.

Perhaps some of the people in the queue were from other time slots and I doubt whether they turned people away who had reached the top of the queue but whose tickets showed a different time slot. I think their planning was inadequate and I saw no sign of staff offering anything (apology, sympathy, Cava) to placate the customers in the queue. They must have known how many people they had invited, what percentage of those receiving invitations has turned up on previous bonanza days, and they really should have organised an area big enough to accommodate them.

But I am now getting used to 'teasers' from M & S. Another gripe is the extra points/discount vouchers we get sent. They arrive in the post while I'm shopping, or I don't have them on me when shopping. Why can't they program the tills' database so that customers purchasing in the period specified automatically have the points added to their account?

Is there a 'grumpy about M & S' thread on this site, by any chance?

Anything left would be offered to the general public next day which I presume would be gone within 5 mins. I would presume every shop had the bazaar today as if you could not make the local store to you, you could turn up at another convenient store to you.:T:money:

Wrong as the general public sale is on Friday 13th November, card holders today and not every store had the bazaar today but as I understand it they will all have the event on Friday, including some food only stores. I assume they will be restocking for Friday's event.

I would agree I was in Dunfermline store on Tuesday and they are having the bazaar on Friday but are not on the list, check with your local store.

All in one place one tables which you either walk round and pick up your 5 items or the staff will hand you what you want.

    Not available online either. HTH.
