Has anyone else had problems logging in today?
Okay yesterday, today failed at first attempt, with a message saying account locked, form to change security details will be sent in the post (what great timing!).
This has happened on my account and my wife's at the same time, so suspicious that either CBS have a problem, or someone's been attempting to get in to both accounts.

Nope, just logged in straight away without a problem. I'd call them.0

Hi, Yeah this has happened to me on Friday 30th October.
I did ring customer services - on this free number 0800 126 125 instead of the 0845 number.
Customer services said there have been 2 incorrect log inns -
1 - i had not completed my details in the time allocated to fill in the details????????????????????????????
2 - Incorrect password was the other reason. Not sure about that.
I too will have a form posted out.
My account was a poppy Savings 1 year bond at 6.25% opened last December, what was your account??:rotfl:0 -
Thanks, natman.
I have a Cov First account, my wife's is a Poppy Save account.
Could be a similar issue to yours?
Let's see if anyone else has similar experiences!0 -
I managed to log in second time around, it would have been first time around if I hadn't have c0cked my password up. Oh well, that's todays senior moment over and done with.0

A couple of months back I got locked out at the first attempt and I was convinced that I had entered the correct details.
I received and returned a form to get my password reset.
I got locked up again after failing three attempts.
I received and returned another form to get my password reset.

This time I read it more carefully. I had realised that spaces were not allowed in the password but had not realised that they were also forbidden as replies to questions such as name of first school. Success!0 -
Yep, aware of that one! Must admit my old school name looks funny with no spaces in!
Off topic a bit, but bearing in mind funny rules about entering passwords and memorable data etc, I have one account where they ask for city of birth ... entered "Leeds" only to be informed "must have a minimum of 8 letters"!0 -

Yep happened to me this morning. I tried to log-in and failed at 1st attempt same as you, and saying that there is a form in the post. Their t&cs say this happens if there are THREE failed attempts. Now, they send a form to me, I have to send it back etc etc. Archaic, without taking into account the effects of the postal strike. Most banks/societies now give you half a new password over the phone and the other by email. Coventry are way behind the times. Grrrr. How long before I can get to my money?0 -
Just had this same problem of being locked out and now having to wait for the password. Phoned Coventry and they say it is a problem for people using Egg Money Manager (I do) or similar product. Using it has caused incorrect password attempted log ins hence the lock out.
They advise that once you get the new password then to take Coventry off whichever auto log in you are using.0 -
Ahah! I had same problem, linking in via Egg Money Manager. Apparently tried three times and then locked out. New password in post (remember them? Jaunty fellows who used to come most mornings? One for our older readers.)
With Egg Money Manager now failing with RBS and Coventry, it really is becoming a tad c**p!0 -
Thanks for the info, which explains why mine locked out last week for no apparent reason.0
