A Payment A Day - Part Six!

  • Thanks Sarah, will remember that. And have NO intention to leave. I need to get out of debt.

One possibly silly question to clarify - when we PAD, do we have to pay it each day, or put it aside to be paid? I'm just picturing myself calling Barclays each day to pay 5.00 on my credit card:D. They may not be very impressed with me:rotfl:

It can be paid by setting up bill payents online from your bank account.
I often pay pennies when I'm skint. No phone call charge this way either. I've even been known to pay as little as 1p in a day sometimes just by a few mouse clicks.

    20p today from me

I feel your pain. OH always snores and when i nudge him he always tell me he wasnt asleep

Well, he told me he wasn't asleep and was then asleep and snoring again within 20 seconds! I told him this last night and he smile sheepishly, then told me I must be imagining it!

I bought him some of those breathe right strips to try last night. He refused and insisted that his nasal spray would work just fine. It did work, until about 6am, so I got him to spray again. Didn't make the slightest bit of difference this time and now I'm to blame for his sore throat apparantly.

He believes that using the nasal spray this morning gave him a sore throat. Nothing to do with your cold then, dear? :rotfl::rotfl:

I don't know why he's got such a problem admitting it. It's only snoring and he doesn't do it all the time, it's just the cold. When the cold's gone, the snoring will be gone.

Oh well, at least it's Friday. Happy Friday everyone! xx

  • AN IRISH GHOST STORY

This story happened a while ago in Dublin , and even though it sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it's true!!!!!

John Bradford, a Dublin University student, was on the side of the road hitchhiking on a very dark night and in the midst of a big storm. The night was rolling on and no car went by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly, he saw a car slowly coming towards him and stopped. John, desperate for shelter and without thinking about it, got into the car and closed the door only to realize there was nobody behind the wheel and the engine wasn't on.

The car started moving slowly. John looked at the road ahead and saw a curve approaching.. Scared, he started to pray, begging for his life. Then, just before the car hit the curve, a hand appeared out of nowhere through the window, and turned the wheel. John, paralyzed with terror, watched as the hand came through the window, but never touched or harmed him.

Shortly thereafter, John saw the lights of a pub appear down the road
. Gathering all his strength, he jumped out of the car and ran to it. Wet and out of breath, he rushed inside and started telling everybody about the horrible experience he had just had. A silence enveloped the pub when everybody realized he was crying and....wasn't drunk.

Suddenly, the door opened, and two other people walked in from the dark and stormy night. They, like John, were also soaked and out of breath. Looking around, and seeing John Bradford sobbing at the bar, one said to the other.

"Look Paddy there's that idiot that got in the car while we were pushing it!"
