Hi sarsief, I use an old coffee jar for shrapnel and have been known to use an empty baked bean tin before now!

Noticed in your sig about couch to 5k. Couch to 5K Running 2009
I tried to do this, had a podcast that kept me going. But was actually far too unfit and had to start with walking!!

I found a pint glass ... but don't think it will last very long, looks like it'll fill up quickly as i'll be putting mostly schrapnel in!

I started Couch to 5K in January ... and it was more a shuffle than a run, but i only managed to keep going until March ... then tried again ... then again ... but keep losing motivation! Was feeling the benefits tho ... used to do it in the dark so no one could see how bad i was! ;)

I'm starting again next week, maybe it only works for me in winter!!!

Put £1.60 in yesterday and then £1.30, £1.60 and £2.10 (from memory!) for today and the weekend as will be away - very happy with my start.

  • Son asked his mother the following question:

'Mum, why are wedding dresses white?' The mother looks at her son and replies:

'Son, this shows your friends and relatives that your bride is pure.'

The son thanks his Mum and goes off to double-check this with his father.

'Dad why are wedding dresses white?'

The father looks at his son in surprise and says:

'Son, all household appliances come in white.'

  • Morning all

For those of you looking for something to put your change into, I use a sealed tin which I got from the poundshop, they're good as the only way to get into them is with a tin opener.

FF hope you find something good at M&S 1p sale - rather you than me  The M&S at our local retail park must've had a cardholders evening on wednesday and the queue was about half a mile long!

Pad today is 24p jar, £1.40 tin, £2 ISA and £5.10 to cap1 cc

jo41 I see your DFD is looming ever closer! You must be over the moon! :)

Great joke greenbynature! The OH will find it funny and he needs a little cheering up so I sent it to him. Although, he'd better not get any ideas about the housework! lol
