    I do heads :D

I see what you're saying now.
To be honest, once a customer has messed about regularly, my experience is that they never change. The most viable way is that once a messer has finally coughed up, they get replaced.
Window cleaners have a reputation for being fairly transient. It's a common complaint. However, although there is some truth in that, customers often don't see the part that they play in that. I do make a point of showing loyalty to a decent customer. However, the number of jobs I've walked away from over 18 years could be the basis of two small window cleaning rounds. That's what it can take to fine tune a round into something that makes decent money and is low on the headache factor. I've even not gone back to some customers who owe me money. The time taken getting a tenner out of someone who messes around could be spent earning £20 elsewhere. I regard £10 to free myself from a bad customer as a major bargain. If this sounds disrespectful to customers, please bear in mind that I always treat them with respect until they start treating my business with disrespect. Sometimes I tell them that I won't be returning. Sometimes I don't. It depends on the circumstances and if I sense that they are the sort of person who will want to have an argument about it.

I agree that you're time could be better spent than chasing up ten quid and you're post doesn't sound did-respectful in the slightest. Although I come across (occasionally :D) as being a bit forward and abrupt, I always like to be nice to people that are offering a service whether it's serving me in a supermarket or speaking to a company on the phone because being nice to people gets further than being an a*rehole!! I think that 'the general public' should be nicer to small business' as I found that it's the man standing behind a counter in his wee shop that he's really proud of that actually makes the time to have a conversation with you! My OH spend nearly 2hrs chatting to a man that runs an independant shop in Inverness!

Hi all, a pad of £2 between the 2 ccs today.

Didn't get on yesterday as was out with OH and my nephew - we went bowling instead of the planned ice-skating due to the freezing rain.

More snow here and it's still snowing....heavily!

Am concerned about my flight this evening. OH's bus isn't running again (same bus as for airport) so he's back at home.

Even if I get transferred to another flight tomorrow, more snow is forecasted (a LOT more for tomorrow!), so I suspect I might not be travelling until Wednesday!

I've looked at Ferry's and they seem fine, but I have no way of getting to the port which is 5 times as far away as the airport is. And the taxi to the airport yesterday was 50 Euro's!!!!

    Hi everyone!

Another £6 for me today please.

I had to shell out 65 quid for a new car battery yesterday, typical ain't it. But at least it's done, only problem is I've had to take it out of the MOT fund (mot due in Jan) so I just hope it passes!

I'm about to go and do some present wrapping now - I love this bit! I like wrapping presents even more than I like opening them!

    Have a nice day all
    xx
