Well done thrifty! Now sit back and revel in your excellent MSE decision to ditch the credit card this week when so many people are out there this week spending on them. The thread salutes you!

Hey callan,
You only need to deposit a small amount ( i think £5 works fine) mine normally takes about 12-24 hours to credit the free £5 so id say a full day before you can withdraw.
Minimum withdrawl amount is £20 though so if you plan on withdrawing straightaway you need to deposit £20
You dont get the £100 or whatever bonus though, just the £5 daily.Once you withdraw itll come up saying you lose your £x bonus, dont worry about that.
If you win anything, use your card to deposit enough to bring the total to £20 and withdraw otherwise if you play on youll be spending your "real" cash.
If youre on there between 6-8am ill probably see you there in the morning.
Good luck "glgl wtg wdw etc etc " :rotfl:

would like some advice from my fellow Pad'ders.
I have just been looking at my finances and i have 2 options. which should i do.
1) i can tackle both wedding savings and debt in a gradual equal pattern and i will be debt free in September 2010
2) i can tackle the debt and clear it by April (providing i get the bonus i expect) and then save everything i can every month for the wedding. if this fails and the bonus is less than i expect, i could always leave this on the virgin cc and clear it gradually.
The second one is a big ask and OH said it will be too much pressure. i think ive been this focused so far and have achieved so much that the skys the limit. i think i can do it.
what would you do? xx
Keza this is probably the wrong answer but I'd be more inclined to go with option 2. The reasons for that decision would be that you'd be paying less interest and you'd be debt free quicker but the main reason would be that you'd be able to focus all your attention on your wedding fund so would have to save. It may just be may but I work better when under pressure as it makes me focus all my attention whereas if I'm just sauntering along I usually end up !!!!!!! up!
I would however be a wee bit worried if I was pinning all my hopes on a bonus so maybe you could put all your money to debt until, say Feb, then lay off that for a month whilst you focus on your wedding then see what happends in April? You may find that it might be a bit easier to focus on your wedding fund if your debt has come down drastically but not cleared, iyswim!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
