Hi All,
Just wondered if those of you with little ones have seen the free Santa letter and video in the weekly newsletter.
Sounds great for the little ones so have sent it on to my sister and sister in law.

I am excited and looking forward to Xmas this year.
I get to see my family and friends. I get to see my parents new house (they moved a few weeks ago). All presents are bought and wrapped (except OH - he's still deciding). None of it was bought on credit (I have held some money back for OH's pressie). I don't have to worry about preparing this that or the other as we are eating out this year (courtesy of my folks). AND, I will still be making a rather large (well, for me anway) overpayment to the Virgin CC as soon as they calculate the interest for this month.
I can't remember the last time Christmas was so stress free! And, I stuck to a budget on presents....easily! I stopped trying to be seen as the biggest giver in monetary terms and have apadted the approach of asking people what they really want.
I've always hated the idea of buying someone something they don't really want. It happens every year, inevitably, and I, and everyone else, always end up with stuff we don't want. What a shocking waste of money.
So, this year, I asked everyone for ideas of what they would like for Christmas, ie, give me a small list and then I chose from there. Still manage to keep an element of surprise.
Plus, my neice's are all reaching that age where they are interested in smellies and make up, so it was easy to put something together for them.
Mmmm, roll on Christmas!
As for here, they celebrate 'Sinta Klaas' (Saint Nicholas) on 5th December, so we have some decorations at work already and the high street was VERY busy on Saturday! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

G'day g'day!
Hope everyone's well. I have yet to check back through the thread, which i'll do imminently.
Today's PAD is a rather spiffing £100 to my credit card to take it down to a nicer, rounded £2000.
I must admit to spending a little yesterday...BUT BUT...a pair of nearly-new brown leather Clarks ankle boots for £6.50??? I wrestled with the Thrift Monkey on my back and told him, in no uncertain terms, that it was money well spent. New(ish) boots!
I have the dentist this afternoon, which is more money though, even if it is budgeted for  Gah.
Take care peeps,

Aww bless him - I remember when my sister was a little 'un and was going hyper on Christmas eve...Four I think she was. Anyhoo she drove me and my mum so bonkers, I think I said something along the lines of `look, if you go to sleep now, Santa will come quicker...'
She was up the stairs, in bed and asleep within 20 mins.
