No problem Borders Dude......I hope that when you are feeling totally crushed, devastated and don't know what to do - you say and do all the right things as far as others are concerned.
You were thanked for your info in post number 3.

Lots of people offered good advice before she blasted us all of being judgmental etc; Thats very ungrateful if you ask me.
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

• GOING OFF-TOPIC

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: While it’s easy to wander off-topic that often prevents newbies finding the information they want quickly and easily (please see this rule). Please keep this thread on topic. If you’d like to discuss non-MoneySaving related topics please continue your discussion in The MoneySavers Arms or Discussion Time. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.
• The fact she thanked me is taken away by the fact she then goes on to launch a broadside against all the people who tried to help her by offering advice.

yes to whoever pointed out i was advised to turn down my budgeting loan prior to br which was for carpets etc...for my childrens bedrooms and i did turn it down and that i am due to go br on monday but i have cancelled it as i am too distraught. BUT I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE DONE MY DAD PROUD AT THE VERY END CONSIDERING THE MESS I HAVE MADE OF MY LIFE.

And thank you DX2 for being the only person to offer any condolences.

I go on the BR part of the site and I have to say everyone gives everyone a chance whereas in my personal opinion this section seems quite quick to judge and condemn.

I was that poster cloverfan - and I said "I am rather confuddled" because you said that you had refused a social fund loan just a week ago.

As I have said on another thread this evening Crystal balls do not come as standard on the forum. How is anyone supposed to know that you have lost your father if you do not tell us? Advice can only be given on the information provided!

I am sorry for your loss. And I hope all goes well on Monday.
• So sorry about what has happened.

My advice for you on a personal level - as someone who works in this area - is to concentrate on doing what you need to do for funeral and forget about money for these things. Yes, you may ultimately get money for clothes, but just get what you can get or borrow something in meantime, the last thing you need or want is to be chasing up for loans and getting frustrated when realistically it's not going to be paid on time if funeral is very soon.

Please please note I'm not saying that to put you off, I just think your priorities and thoughts are best spent elsewhere at this time x

Are you implying that the rest of us are horrible for not offering condolences? If so, perhaps you should have started a thread asking for sympathy. As it was, you asked a factual question about a social fund loan and received factual answers.

And for the record, there has been no condemnation or judging on this thread - far from it.

I think you need to take a step back.
