I rent my line from BT and I am with Talk talk for the calls - "EveryCall choice 2.
Why do talk talk charge me 3.99 as a regular charge when my line is rented from BT, who also charge me line rental? This has been going on since 2004.
Is talktalks regular charge also line rental, and if so, should I ask for a refund?
Talktalk advised me that my evening and weekend calls are free yet they are not.
I also use the internet, with virgin.
Is it cheaper to go with one company for phone and internet?
thank you

Well, what does your bill say it's for? It's not line rental. Possibly for non-direct debit payment?
Sounds like you are on an old tarrif which does not give free weekend and evening calls, suggest you speak to them
If you can get TT on an LLU service then yes it would be cheaper to bundle your calls/line rental/broadband together. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

The bill just says "regular charge"
What is LLU please
thank you0 -
Then you really need to ask TT (maybe you should have asked them 5 years ago).
Local Loop Unbundled.
Look on samknows.com to see if TT are LLU on your exchange. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

I wish I had asked five years ago. I am annoyed with my self now.
Am I tied into a contract with them or can I just come out.0 -
I was hoping someone on here could tell me on here about the regular charge.

The charge of £3.99 is for the call plan that gives you free evening and weekend calls for a fixed fee of £3.99.
Your on an old cps plan from when the deals were much more expensive.
I shouldnt think your in contract as you say you have had this for years.0 -

Although I was told on the phone by talktalk I get free evening and weekend calls, can you tell me why they are charging me for them?
thank you0 -
The calls are free but the plan is not so the calls are more like inclusive rather than free ( you dont pay for the actual calls but you pay for the plan to make them free)0

On my bill it lists all of the evening and weekend calls and there are charges for all of them.
Sorry to sound dense, but what do you mean by inclusive?0 -
Inclusive means that the calls are free but you have to pay a fee for a plan to make them free so are included in the plan.
If Talk Talk say you have free calls and you being charged then you need to raise a bill issue with them.
The Free calls are probably just to landlines though so are you sure the charged calls are not to mobiles etc ?0 -

Although I pay the plan fee of 3.99 the calls are still charged.
Will they refund me?
