Mmmm...the spec for this ACER @ £327 is much the same.

The Dell is certainly not overpriced at £350, but there is definitely no £115 saving.
  • The one we bought last year (which we are returning only as it keeps overheating) is the acer aspire 5720-so anything similar to that is fine as we are happy with what it does and what we need it for. I have been looking online but its a mine field. Thanks for all your help.xx

Since you asked for the best laptop..... that is not it. That one is functional and the two year guarantee from JL is good. It's a safe choice.

The 'best' comes down to whether you want safety or higher specification for your £350.
  • I would say a better spec-we popped into pc world to actually see some and found 2 we like-both are £449 which i think is prob around what we will spend.

    packard bell-tj68-au-031 and hp dv6-2010sa.

But don't buy 'em at PCW...
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • No i won't....can't stand the pushy assistants....just looking for them online now-currys is cheaper as they've got a 5% off code and that's the first google which came up.
