Apathy to petrol prices

To be honest, having experienced 151.9p/litre last year, I'm actually quite 'happy' to pay current prices.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

I haven't noticed any price rises, I still put in £20 worth and that hasn't gone up !0 -

I fully agree about the apathy - when petrol first hit £1 per litre, there was a massive outcry, but since it went down and rose again, everyone is just accepting of the increase this time round!
on a completely different note, can ANYONE help me about worldwide travel insurance??? I am new on here and can't figure out how to ask a question!! its a great site, but a bit cluttered and not easy to find what you want!

What is the question you have?0

if the tax wasnt taken on fuel it would be taken on something else
Besides diesel is 105 at the mo, it was 140 in June 2008!
LOL need is a bit strong. Unaffordable luxuries perhaps.0 -
I watched an episode of Top Gear the other day and Clarkson was on about how he was charged £2 for a litre of water...and had to pay £1 for a litre of petrol where they have to build platforms, drills, refineries, pay for transport to places, have staff to take care of and they charge 35p a litre. It shows how much 'Winky and Eyebrows' take from it...but does the country need to charge this extra 175%?0
