Quite right too Polls! We know he's in this business to make a profit, but, as you rightly say, he's just being greedy, and it could all backfire.
I was fortunate enough to get my bags at a branch that was clearly displaying the "Half Price - £20" poster, and when the SA told me that the till indicated I had to pay £52 for my 3, I showed her the posters.
She over-rode the till :j - but that was at 9 o'clock, when they opened! No doubt the price was changed soon after.
When it emerged in the press that M & S charged a higher price for bras for the well endowed ladies amongst us, they immediately took out full page ads with the heading "We've boobed"!!!
:o:o
They also reduced the price of all bras by a third (I think) :T so everyone was a winner. Mr B should issue similar ads, apologising for the "error" and offering a refund, on production of their receipt, to anyone who was charged £26.
On the bright side, they will be selling far fewer of the bags than they would have done, if they'd had honoured their original "Half Price or Less" promise - which means there'll be lots in the sale - for a tenner!
BTW if tomorrow's voucher isn't anything to get excited about, unlike the Goldie, I shall be thinking of it as a Mouldy!
And if anyone can find a good glitch with the Goldie, the Mouldy and any ACM vouchers, they will find themselves receiving as many "thanks" as Sally :A:A:A has received for her first post! Go and have a look!

This clearly shows that the price was no "mistake" as Boots are claiming, they've deliberately changed it. Isn't that false advertising, claiming to guarantee half price or less but then charging a higher price?SandraScarlett wrote: »Quite right too Polls! If I'd bought any of those bags I would take them back for a refund and let the manager know why.
Of course if this was a genuine mistake  Boots could redeem themselves by making the bag ootw again but with the correct price.Dum Spiro Spero0 -
My OH works for Boots and heard this and her manager said he doesnt think so, although it was the case for MENS No.7 when it was double discount.
I cant see how they can stop you buying 3 just because you are staff and get discount.
I work for Boots and staff are only allowed to buy one of the killer offers, there is a notice that has been sent to all stores and this should be put up in the staff room. It clearly states you will be breaking the rules if you buy more than one so they can stop you!0 -

It seems Boots change the rules all the time, what with the 'discrepancy' with this weeks OOTW, and now this for Boots staff. At the end of the day its hardly going to cost them much. Lets take this weeks offer 3 Elle bags on 342, total £52, this would cost Boots £6.50 in staff discount. Hardly a big deal when you see the money people save on here with glitches and points.
The stupid thing is, staff can buy them with any other 2 items in the 342, or they can get the 342 with no staff discount. Ridiculous.
I guess the season of goodwill doesnt extend to staff.0 -
I bought mine online and have now email Boots asking for a refund £12 which is the difference between half price and 1/3 off, I'll see what they have to say0

Hi, i was thinking of getting this offer it if it was half price and 342 but at £26 each decided to pass on ootw yet again, the staff at my local will be wondering if im feeling ok lol
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)0 -
I too ordered three of these online and then realised that the offer of the week should have been half price. Im still waiting for boots to email me back after i complained, i emailed them Friday & Sunday but dont think they are going to bother to reply. Good customer service eh? Unless of course they have been inundated with more complaints, or maybe its because i told them it was false advertising? Anyway once i recieve them they are going straight back to the shop for a refund.:mad:Sealed Pot Challenge no. 0920

There's a whole stand full of these bags in my small local branch, just waiting for somebody to buy them. I would get one IF it was £20

After complaining to Boots about their 1/3rd off and not 1/2 i have received the following email from them
Thank you for contacting us about the Elle Macpherson 'The Body' bag that we currently have on offer this week. I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed that this was only put on offer at a 1/3 off rather than at 1/2 price. Thank you for letting us know about this.
I have spoken to our Sales Plan Team and they have advised that unfortunately, the price of this item was set incorrectly. Due to the short period that this offer is on for, we will not be changing this at this stage. Please be assured that our Sales Plan Team are aware of your comments and they will do all they can to avoid any similar incidents from occurring in the future. We do hope you feel you can continue to enjoy our offer of the week up until Christmas despite this.
In view of the disappointment that this has caused you, I have refunded you the difference in price that you should have paid, ?12. This will go back into your account in the next 3-5 working days. I hope that you will accept this with my best wishes.
So got it 342 after all and no delivery charge either. Has anyone else received this email??0
