Boots OOTW EllE set £26 3for2
Comments
-
My local Boots - East Kilbride Town Centre have these all on shelves very clearly marked 3 for 2 so 3 for £52. HTH
And very clearly not half price! As others have stated, Boots guaranteed all OOTW will be half price or less. As yet, i am unable to get out of them why they have gone back on this statement.0 -
Our local shop is insisting on only selling one per customer. They say it is a strict order from Head Office. They say you can use it as part of 3 for 2 but only one bag at a time. Has anyone else found this in their shop?
It is of course better to buy them from Boots.com - as they accept an order for 3 at once and you can also use a code for 500 points with them for spending £50 or more or £5 off when you spend £50.

Here is the response to my 2nd email and the reason for the Elle bag being a third off only.
Thank you for responding to my colleague's email. I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with their response and I hope that I can help you with this now.
I have contacted our Sales Plan Team about this and they have advised that unfortunately, the price set for this item on the killer offer was a mistake on our behalf. Due to the short period that the offer is on for, we will not be changing this at this stage. Please be assured that your comments regarding this have been passed back to our Sales Plan Team and we will do all we can to avoid any similar incidents in the future.
Thank you for contacting us about this and again, I do apologise for the disappointment that this has caused. If you have any other queries, please do not hesitate to contact us again. We have asked a few questions at the bottom of this e-mail, which will help us make sure we have provided you with the very best customer care.
Kind Regards

My local store has a display sign clearly saying 3 for 2. I guess the manager in this case has decided off his own back to limit them and to be honest i cant see how he can do it and get away with it.0 -

Interesting reply. Are they saying that the Elle bags should have been half price and that it is their error that they are being sold for only one third off?
Or are they saying that they made a mistake saying that their OOTW would be for half price or less and that they are within their rights to sell them for a third off?
Are they deliberatley being vague?
If the first is the case then anyone who paid a third off is entitled to a refund.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

I take it to be that it should have been half price.0 -
i think what has happened here is that they have misunderstood the info they would have received limiting STAFF customers to 1 OOTW. if we use our staff discount card we are only allowed to by one OOTW.
My OH works for Boots and heard this and her manager said he doesnt think so, although it was the case for MENS No.7 when it was double discount.
I cant see how they can stop you buying 3 just because you are staff and get discount.0 -
The way I read it they're saying the Elle bag should have been half price but they "made a mistake" and only took a third off. And they're not going to change to the correct price now because the offer is nearly over (plus I'm guessing they'd be inundated with angry customers demanding a refund).pollsdolls wrote: »Interesting reply. Personally I think this was no mistake, they knew exactly what they were doing but probably hoped nobody would remember that they guaranteed the ootw would be half price or less. Naughty Boots.
Daft thing is I think they've lost a lot of sales through messing with the offer like this. I know lots of people would have bought the bag half price on 342, myself included.Dum Spiro Spero0 -

Hello Polls:hello:
I emailed boots at the weekend and got a similar response. I took it to mean the first option, that i've highlighted in bold. I think the future OOTW's will now be along the lines of the front cover offer, ie just under half price but not on 3 for 2. But who knows with Mr B:cool: x:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
Hi Claire :wave:Mr B appears to have become very greedy and is biting the hand that feeds him. I ordered these bags online, but I am returning them for a refund now.~ What goes around comes around ~0
