Misled by car showroom !

Hi,
I've purchased a new car from car showroom, had been told it will take roughly 4 weeks for delivery, a deposit was also paid. Went to the showroom today to finalise all documentation for collection tomorrow. One of the sales staff accidently let slip that my NEW CAR is a SHOWROOM CAR, that has been on the forecourt for the last month. I was not told at the time as I was expecting a brand new car. I'm not happy with this, what actions should I take, if any ???
Many Thanks

are you the 1st owner,is it the spec you want and does it have delivery mileage?0

if the car has very little mileage on it (like 5 miles) and you are the first registered owner then is a new car right? Sometimes new cars are kept for weeks or even months in storage or compounds before they are sold especially in the current economic car sales climate.0

Not to sure but I had a choice of number plates to choose from. Millage of the vehicle, not to sure.0

well its brand new then as its never been registered.
lets face it, a new car doesnt always mean fresh off the production line, it could have been sat in a field somewhere for months and months, or inside a warm showroom for a few weeks.
thoroughly check it over for any scratches though!...work permit granted!0 -
My only concern is that I paid for new car, that the general public has been slamming the doors etc, etc. Also feel mislead that i been told it will take 4 weeks.0

well go in and raise your concerns
could use it as a bargaining tool for discount as lets be honest the dealership will want it shifted0 -

its a new car, so check it over and make sure everything is new with no general public damage,no marks on seats, no scratches on paint or dents or dings.
its taken 4 weeks because its been on show for 4 weeks thats why.
the only thing you could ask for after you let them know how unhappy you are at having to wait 4 weeks more than you should have is for a full tank of fuel, floor mats, mudflaps, free srevice,etc,etc......work permit granted!0 -

Did you order a new car? Or did you just ask for one and they happened to have one?0
