Exploding oven door!

Having worked for a call centre for a well known white goods company, this is actually a more common occurance than you might think. Watchdog did some work on it about 5 years ago. One complainant was upset at their child had been playing in the kitchen before it happened - I remember thinking that this is a really good reason not to leave kids in the kitchen unattended!!!

I think it has something to do with any minor issues with the glass, often small scratches can weaken it and then heating this causes it to 'explode' - apparently it's worse when its a fan assist oven as this pushes the glass out further.

I'm glad that OP is getting it sorted, sounds like they have dealt with this in the past.
