Hey!

I come bringing great news!:j

My OH finally talked to his boss today about his payrise since being promoted. He said he would work a month doing the new job the they will discuss pay. Well he worked the month and his pay has gone from £15,750 to £19,750. Plus with the overtime my poor OH does he will be earning around £25k a year now.Yay!:D:D:D

The second good news is that im pregnant! Our valentines weekend worked!:D Again its very early days im 4weeks 4days, but ive got to tell someone and my online buddies can know! But dont mention anything on facebook guys as nobody esle will know until we see a healthy 12wk scan.

Well i say nobody esle, im telling my boss as this pregnancy im not going to let him get away with no giving me a risk asessment and working me like a horse. Ive wrote a letter informing him of my pregnancy and asking for my risk assement asap.
If im not happy with the risk assement or he treats me like rubbish again i will hand in my notice. As mine and my lil bean's health is alot more important to me than that crappy job!

Had a £10 spend yesterday on my nephews. There doing a run for sport relief so i sponsored them £5 each bless them!

That is fab news! Can't believe you managed to get pregnant straight away,you are a lucky girl.Really hope this is a healthy happy pregnancy for you.My friend who miscarried her first baby is in labour at the moment after getting pregnant for the second time so really hope the same happens for you.

That is great news about your OHs job too. Seems everything is going great for you now and you really deserve it.

That's such great news, like Wendz said can't believe it happened straight away, you both are very lucky! You'll make wonderful parents.

I know im very lucky to fall pregnant so soon. Last time i fell pregnant the first month of trying too! I just really hope this baby sticks and we have a happy healthy 9 months. Bring on the sickness please!!!!;)

Well i handed the letter in, i was shaking! He said 'oh know tell me your not leaving?' i said i will let you read the letter. He read the first line and said 'oh congraulations'. I said i will leave you to read it. And i ran off upstairs and starting getting my things ready for the day ahead.
20minutes later he found me and gave me my risk assement! :DHe had the proper checklist and everything. So i thought why didnt you do this for me last time? Just because i never wrote a letter and said i wanted the assement done he thought he could get away with it i suppose.
Anyway, ive had loads of bits cut out of my job like:

No moving or lifting soiled or clean laundry bags
No cleaning smoking rooms
No cleaning upstairs outside rooms (where you have to carry hover etc up and done the stairs)
No pushing trolleys
No carrying boxes of supplies
No using any bleach product
I do not have to do any overtime if i dont want to
I can sit and take a break whenever i want to
I can do less amount of rooms, however many i feel comfortable with

Im very happy this time! Although the other chambermaids arent really happy that they will have to do more work but they need to speak to my boss about more staff, not moan at me!;)
What makes me angry is my last pregnancy he forced me to come in extra hours at weekends, i still had to do 12 plus rooms a day when we were busy etc etc. All he said last time was dont lift anything.:eek:

Thank goodness its the weekend! I done 2 extra hours at work today because the meeting with my boss took a while and then i took it easy on the rooms as they were in quite a state!

I also got home to something to test from PC and my OH got a letter from his PC that should of had his voucher in but the letter he been opened up and stuck back down and someone has stolen the voucher! GRRR

That is great that he did your risk assessment.You don't want to do anything you shouldn't be. You are right that the others should be more upset about not having enough staff. I am sure you will do a fab job of what parts of the job you can still do.
