  • Would it be worth booking a cheap Travel Lodge for Silverstone rather than getting up so early?
  • This week has dragged hasn't it?? thank god Friday is finally here.

My OH got a gift experience for Christmas, i must remind him to book his racing day before we forget and it expires. We're looking at Donington park, OH raced his Type R there a few years back, it's a brilliant track. Your not too far from Silverstone are you? i remember us having to cross over the Dartford bridge when we went there last summer.

Well done on the extra hours, every penny counts!!!

It probably would be worth seeing how much a travelodge would be for the night. It should be just over a 2 hour drive seeing its a sunday so not mych traffic hopefully that time of morning. Which is fine but that would mean we would leave at 7am but i would have to get up around 5.30am to get bathed, hair dryed etc in time to leave. :rotfl:
I suppose it not that bad actually, i have booked off the friday and monday around that weekend too as i have lots of holiday and thought a long weekend would be nice.

I have over spent on my mobile again! Over spent by £30! So instead of a £20 bill its £50! All on text messages again too. Thank god my sim only contract runs out 21st April. I've already found the next sim only contract i want on O2 its unlimited free data and unlimited free texts and 600 mins. For £20, which will be perfect for me as i dont call people much.

Ive just paid off my credit card early all £520 of it! Car insurance and petrol! But at least thats over for another year. But now im back down to £1500 savings again...everytime i get to £2k i have to pay for something big.:(

Bet you can't wait for your new contract, that is really annoying!

There does always seem to be something to pay for doesn't there. Cars are one of main culprits. You are still doing great with your savings and hopefully you can get it up before something else comes along!
  • Yeah definitely look for new contracts, so many really good deals out at the mo. I spent £15 a month on my mobile, really don't know how i don't go over!

Car's are money eaters, mine's forever costing me money! I'm looking at Mini's at the mo, so hopefully my car won't be with me for much longer.

If you book travelodges in advance they can normally work out really cheap, and because there's no big race on that weekend you may get a really good price.

I still havent looked into the Travelodge yet...its on my to do list! Will check it out later tonight i think.

Last night Quidco paid me £18 something so added that to my £5 a day total and i made £96 extra in Feb in the end. I didnt quite make my target but i made nearly £100 so pleased with that.

I've been searching for some Uggs everywhere, i wouldnt the real thing but at a good price. Which is impossible there all over £100 which im not willing to pay so went to TKmax after Kavics said she found a pair of Uggs in her Tkmax a while back.
They didnt have any Uggs but did have these ones called Bear Raw:rotfl:anyway i tried them on and they really comfy and warm so bought them with some of my money OH gave me for valentines. They cost me £37 they were reduced too as they were £49.99:D I did want chestnut short or bailey button Uggs but i ended up with brown half suede half cardi Bear Raws!:rotfl:;)

I also bought some new toothbrush heads with my £10 Argos voucher. It was well over-due a change of head!:o

I've got exactly the same boots maria in chocolate brown. Thought they were called bear paw though lol. They are so warm and comfy. I've had mine since Nov and they're still like new. Best £50 I spent.

    Hi maria,
Glad I could help with TKMAxx idea, shame though that they didn't have original UGGS. Hope your feet are warmer ;). I'm only wearing my MBTs at the moment, an old heel problem flared up so can't walk in anything else-not very glam but at least comfortable and it doesn't put much pressure on my heel.
