Hi Gill, yes seems that way - though she has just been rolling around the bed with a pain in her knee saying she can't go to school tomorrow :rotfl: We've all used that one!
I rang the EA and they said they haven't had any feedbackThis worried me a bit. I can usually read people and the 3rd people were really keen and all said it wouldn't be on the market long - so what's the hold up? I'm sure it'll be fine. Maybe people don't feel the urgency when it's a rental as opposed to buying.......

Good Morning - raining here, so a good excuse not to go running, plus my tom is due and I feel 3 stone heavier - bodes well for Sunday....
In the absence of a bonus, today I might have to move my balance from Virgin and Lloyds to either Egg or Barclaycard. Both have 0% offers, but only til March.
In the long run it will still be cheaper and saves my credit score.
There are lots of bills to pay too;
£33 for French lessons
£41 for DD2's school dinners
£61 for DD1's school dinners
£16 - ballet lessons
Plus van hire this Saturday - we are going move boxes from the attic and cellar in order to finish off those areas. Then 2 men and a van for the week after when we move in.
I'm going to try not to be too gung-ho this weekend and wear myself out for Sunday - that might be hard as I do like to get stuck in!
I have another few hours to myself this morning, so will do some organising of paperwork and call into the solicitors with the insurance and valuation info.
This is a very exciting time - aside from the house - the thinking time is doing me good and I feel strangely optimistic - like something big is about to start0 -
Morning macgirl
are the things to do actually written down on a list, or just in your head. It may be that you don't have to fly at everything like there's no tomorrow - pace yourself. Fortunately you don't have to move out at a set time because of a chain, so have a bit more freedom than most, use it.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

In my head and written down. I do love a list and then striking them off in bold marker pen0 -
Transferred Virgin and Lloyds to EGG - B'card wouldn't let me increase my limit.
I hovered over transferring my overdraft. But I decided against that. I need to be strict with myself and just pay it off with extra earnings. It can be done if I knuckle down to it.
Right, have a good and productive day to anyone reading0 -
Spoke to the solicitor earlier today and he said the insurance is fine as we will exchange and complete on Friday :j
So we have booked a van for this Saturday when we will move lots of boxes ourselves, then arranged for removal men the following Thursday. I'm using another of my holidays, so now only have 2 left for between Jan and April
The van is £50 inc VAT and the removals is £360 +VAT, but well worth I think. As the lady on the phone said it's "donkey work" and it will be hard enough with help. We've had lots of offers of help from friends, but it's such hard work and they all have jobs and kids, that it's too much. At least we can get the bulk done while the girls are at school. We're all really excited now!
Still no word on the tenants, which is a bit of a worry. I'm going to ring the agent tomorrow and see if there's any feedback.....It's weird as 2 out of the 4 were really keen. I guess they have to make the right noises out of politeness.
It's been so nice to be off and take the girls to school. It was pouring down and really windy this morning and my umbrella blew inside out. They were in such a fit of giggles and told all their friends as if it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen! It made me realise how much I miss out on and how they won't be this age for long...:(
Part of my perfect week would have to include work, as I do love it, but it impacts more on my family life than I would like. Ideally I would like to work less hours, but I'm already considered part time, so it would be impossible to do less in my current job. Freelancing is too adhoc and I doubt I'd earn enough, regularly enough. Plus I have to commute as there are not many jobs in this area. My company is moving premises, which would shorten my journey, but that's not for another 2 years or more.
I know it's a problem many people have, but I'd really like to work towards a better arrangement for my kids, so I'm going to have to think long and hard about this....0 -
Oh God, depressed, depressed
WHY did I make such a stupid grand gesture and pay off my stupid barclaycard???? I have left myself with no money and have just opened a letter saying that I went over my overdraft and they are charging me and refused some payments :wall:
I feel like such low life, just wish I could get my bloody act together financially
Really I suppose I shouldn't admit it on here, but I need to shame myself. It's like I've got financial dyslexia because there is something seriously not right0 -

On the contrary, you SHOULD absolutely admit it on here, because we can all relate to it, having done something similar ourselves in the past!
Why not use the "financial dyslexia" as one of your toxic things for MGs challenges, and including as a "must have" the ability to keep all things financial in perspective and order.
I have found that many of my "must haves" are not physical "things" but are differences in the way I attack things, and ways of behaviour. So for example, I have got the obvious things like children, house, car, but I also have on there "a healthy relationship with food" "fun" "acknowledgement of my abilities by others and by myself" and "friends and being a good friend".....other things that I "want" are things like "encouragement".....so I reckon your finances and your ways of attacking them can be included in a very different way than perhaps just writing "no debt" if indeed that is on your list!
You can do this xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
:kisses3: Thank you x
I know that "no debt" means the same to me as "budget" - ie: nothing. It just does not penetrate and I don't know why!!!!
It not as if I brought up to be so carefree with cash, as I've said before, my parents are the original MSE'ers. They would be horrified if they knew the state I was in. I'm just so mad at myself.
I even went back to EGG to see if I could transfer my overdraft (against my better judgement from earlier) and it said they "couldn't process my request".
Meaning "No way, you're a financial wuckfit!"
Tomorrow is another day, must keep looking forward...
