I'm back! Really enjoyed it and managed a PB of just over 58mins :j:j:j
I had to stop to tie my laces on the way out and needed a "Paula Radcliffe"on the way back which slowed me down a bit. But it was a lovely morning - perfect for running and I'll definitely do it again.
I'm totally motivated now to lose a stone before May and aim for sub-56.
Hope you're having a nice day if you're reading0 -
Well done you!!!!

Hi MacGirl
Stumbled across your diary and then noticed your entry about a 10k race.
I used to do a lot of running myself, my last race having been the London Marathon in
about 1998, which finished on a sour note...I keeled over after having just crossed the finishing line and woke up the next day in hospital.
Decided last week to start my running again as I used to really enjoy it so setting my sights on doing a 10k before end of year. Would like to do another marathon to "cancel out" the last one but first things first...
Well done on getting your PB :TDFW'er - Lightbulb moment : 31st July 2009 - £18,499

Thanks Hun!I told my BiL who's an Ironman/Marathon veteran and he said "Why didn't you just pee in your pants like all serious runners?"
Don't think I'm ready for that just yet.....

Well done on getting your PB :T
Hi Chris :hello: and thanks for stopping by!
You have my total admiration for attempting a marathon, it's definitely not for me. I'm sure you could do it again - so awful to get so close to the finish - hope you were ok?! I certainly have the bug now and have been buzzing all day!
I look forward to hearing of your progressBEAT_THE_DEBT wrote: »Hi Mac thanks for nutracheck link i have checked it out its good. Is the free trial really free no catches?xx
Hi BTD - Yep, no catches. It is free for 5 days, then you have to pay. I got a deal £24.99 for 6 months, but it is usually £34.99. There are other packages. I can only say that many people in our office have done it for months and have been very successful in both losing weight and been motivated to exercise regularly. So I would highly recommend it
Hi Hopeful :hello: Hope all's well with you x0 -
Well this evening has not gone to plan.
I intended to list the rest of my Ebay things - having missed the free listing yesterday - I fell asleep  - but really cannot be a*sed.
My Mum called round just as I had walked in and was making dinner for the kids so I was too tired/stressed/busy to sit and chat - so now I feel very guilty
Still haven't eaten, but need to have something healthy, so I don't fill up on bread and butter (which I would love to do!)
The plus side it that I got up at 5.35am  to do my Blast Off DVD :j before work - so I am feeling slightly virtuous, though really want to lose a stone before my next 10k in May.
Right off to eat salad and watch Eddie Izzard running marathons on iplayer - night!0 -
I watched Eddie Izzard....it was brilliant, fair play to that man!...and all you other runners!Natwest Card 27.06.10 (reduce every month) £267.63
Gave up smoking 16th July 2007 :T0
