Woo hoo! Yesterday was NSD 13! Today won't be a NSD, that leaves me with Saturday, Sunday and Monday to get 2 more NSD to meet my pledge - I think I just might do it!Hey Gang..the crimbo thread is up & you can find it HERE if you fancy a real challenge next month
I'm going to stay at 17 cuz I'm a Billy-No-Mates & don't have to worry about office politics or wayward family gatherings :T but even if you try for 5 nsds, that will be a true achievement for December.
Any takers?
Thanks for that - I'm up for it! Will go and say hello on the new thread now.:money: Proud to [STRIKE]be dealing with[/STRIKE] have dealt with my debts! :money:

No NSD yesterday, nor today....can't see me reaching my target this month, but will only be a day out if we have a spending-free weekend. Still, though I have gone waaaay over budget, I am still spending much less than I did this time last year. Perhaps I will be even better next year!!
Have my physio this morning, and then plan on taking friend out to lunch. She had an eye op last week and this will be her first time out since then. Her sight is still fuzzy, but lunch out and possibly even a a short trip to Mr M will do her the world of good.. We wiill see how things go.
Have a good weekend everyone.

I think I've done 6 out of 12, which isn't so good (the correct figure is in my signature). I'll try really hard for one tomorrow! I need to be a lot more organised now that I'm working some crazy hours! Am doing shifts, and it changes from week to week, so it's difficult for me to plan!
Ooh, I've just thought. I have some curries in the freezer, so I can definitely have them. Ok, today I will pick up some food, which I'll leave in the fridge at work for tomorrow on my break. I'll also have a big breakfast tomorrow morning and take one of my curries out of the freezer for tomorrow evening, so should definitely be able to get one in tomorrow. Yay!!
Congratulations to everyone who doing so much better than me!! I'll also try and keep more up to date with the conversation here - although tidying my room should take priority to spending time on the internet! You've not been in your job that long & have had to find your way around the hours, how tired you'll be at the end of a shift, travel etc so to achieve 6 is something to be celebrated
I'm not sure what it is you do but have you had a look through the links in the post on the first page, that take you to wonderful ideas for packed lunches & store cupboard meals? If you feel comfortable in posting a few of your preferences meal-wise & a rough timetable, perhaps we can get our collective thinking caps on to see if we can't help you out with a bit of menu planning. I've started to make a list of as many main meals as there are days in the month, then jiggle them around to try to avoid having nothing but chicken one week, pasta the next etc etc with first priority being to high-light the days I need a 'quick' dinner.
I'm not saying it's easy--certainly not for me--but as an example:-one of us was out for dinner last night but I cooked the same amount of sausages & they had those in their sarnies for work today--that sort of thing
Another good thread to have a nosey around is this one, about a young lady who could have just as easily given up completely but didn't. HTH.x
