As I have reached my target for this month, I'm going to try and squeeze in any pressie buying before Tuesday so I have a better chance of reaching my target for December.
And I do like your thinking on using the time between Challenges

Hi
Well I managed 10 NSDs this month. I know I will need to spend something tomorrow so this is the end of my month. On the up side I have done a big food shop already so hopefully shouldn't need to spend every day. November was a hand to mouth sort of month with adding bits that were needed to top up what we already had due to having to find a deposit to put down on a new car. But now I need to spend as little as possible to replace the emergency fund and the bill money that we needed to borrow from. I have said I will try for 7 NSDs for Dec but I am hoping to manage more.
I hope everyone had a good month

Made number 18 yesterday.... not sure yet about today... I need to get a few bits to last until Thursday when the order comes..... but then we've got all sorts of stuff in the freezer, so might not bother. Forgive me BigMummaF and fellow NSD'ers but I have sinned!!
I have failed to meet my target! Ah well.
Given that I will need to get petrol tomorrow I will only have notched up 18 NSD's for November (despite having a week on hols). Not very good at all.....but some of it is due to being sensible. There's no point bringing forward a spend if tomorrow I will get it cheaper. So although it's highly irritating I didn't achieve my 20, in reality I don't feel the month was a failure.
It's been a really useful exercise and my overall spending did reduce as it made me think about what I was buying and when and what I really needed. The main benefit was on my Grocery budget as it made me plan my meals a bit better rather than just nipping to the supermarket to buy what I fancied for that night.
So I was going to be a bit more realistic for December (and I reackon December is always a higher spend month anyway due to xmas preparations) but as 'penance' I shall add a penalty day to my December target!! Bring it on! :rotfl:
Well done to everyone that took part and see you all next month!0 -
Didn't go out in the end today - weather awful again! - so declaring number 19 today
Just tomorrow to survive without spending, which should be easy as I have no money left in my purse at all!

I have totally confused myself now so haven't a clue what my food spends have been since August
BUT it has given me a chance to practise for an annual budget before the beginning of the New Year.
I'm going to have a real go at a yearly total as I'm the sort of shopper who buys items when on a good offer to be used at some later date, so often had months where I'd spent an absolute fortune. Well...that's the theory anyways
I've had a sort out of my spreadsheets this afternoon but forgot to note recent spends :doh:but as the month is not yet ended, there's bound to be more to go on so I'll update & declare then.

Declaring my last NSD of the month for today putting me at 17 which I am chuffed with. :j :j
Doing huge massive food shop tomorrow after scouring the cupboards, fridge and freezer and finding nothing resembling fruit or veggies or anything remotely healthy (and we wonder why neither of us are losing any weight, tut!). So, inspired by those lovely OS peeps, I'm digging out my slow cooker which is gathering dust somewhere and actually going to start cooking instead of nuking frozen ready meals, and hopefully cut down our spends at the same time(thats the plan anyway!)
All the coffee in Columbia won't make me a morning person...

Yesterday was another NSD for me, taking me up to 14 out of my pledged 15. That leaves me with just today (the last day of the month!) to meet my pledge - I have no plans to splash the cash though, so I should make it ...:money: Proud to [STRIKE]be dealing with[/STRIKE] have dealt with my debts! :money:
